This was my first time visiting Macon Road Barbeque. I ordered the Chicken Plate combo with baked beans and macaroni & cheese and Ribs. My husband ordered the Rib sandwich. When I got home and opened the containers. The Chicken was black hard and over cooked, and the food was Ice cold. The Ribs were tough and hard. I called the next day to inform the manager about the food I have received, and his response was you should have brought it back. In addition, to this the manager stated that this does happen. I did not ask or want my money back. I just wanted the manager to apologize for the inconvenience. This food was Horrible. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone who wants or desire good Barbeque. Horrible food...

I came in this establishment today…it was only my 2nd time visiting. I asked the lady that was taking orders for a loaded potato with chicken. I think it’s called a big daddy tater or something. I don’t eat pork…haven’t eaten it for over 7 years. I asked for extra cheese on the side, which she said I couldn’t get (why I do not know…as long as I paid for it) and extra sour cream. I got the sour cream but not the cheese. I got home and ate about a quarter and a half of the potato and I started feeling terrible. I mean sooo sick. I asked my boyfriend to check to see if I was eating chicken or pork and he said it was definitely PORK!!! The meat had a sweet flavor so you couldn’t tell the difference at all. I couldn’t anyway! I’m very disappointed and I need someone to reach out to me about this! I’ll probably never eat there again! Not after this! What if I was allergic to pork? 7 years pork free gone!
Confessions from a BBQ junkie. I love BBQ and consider it a character flaw for not visiting Macon Road Barbecue before now. I had heard many positive reports but had never taken the time visit until today. I will return again and again. My wife and I ordered the rib platter and I opted for the large version. It satisfied my ample appetite, especially for BBQ. The ribs were tender, meaty and cooked perfectly. I loved the coleslaw and my wife enjoyed the potato salad. I ordered a side of fries which were hand cut and tasty. The portions sizable. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's what a great BBQ restaurant should be -- great food, modest decor and very friendly staff. So far, these were the best ribs I found in the Columbus area.
Got a bbq plate. Enjoyed it. Thanks guys potato salad ribs okay shredded beef was good. Brunswick stew was OK overall four out of five.

Haven’t been there in awhile so I had a taste for ribs and went there today and the ribs were tough and tasted old dry,I guess I have to find me another rib place or grill my own

Ordered through DoorDash and forgot the French fries that were supposed to come with the order. You know how upsetting it is to spend more than the items worth only to not receive the item and that it was the restaurants fault and not the dasher!!!!! Call and they can’t even receive phone calls. Never again
Great place to eat. The grill is old and seasoned with the taste of BBQ that's got generations of spices cured into it. Love the Brunswick stew. Chipped plate is my go to lunch. Try it out and see what you think.

Portion size has decreased not sure if this is the same for dining in but I ordered curbside.. pork platter?? Chunks get home and it looks like scrab meat no chunks 2 pickles 5 onion pieces..u talking disappointed I was highly disappointed for im hungry looking for a good mean and food is too expensive to waste money on ,,.I called my mom who order the rib platter and she tells me her ribs were hard and burnt and she couldn't eat I was very disappointed plus I tipped girl $5.. probably won't go back
