My husband stopped by and was immediately met with bad energy. The guy working was standoffish, rude, and acted like serving customers was an inconvenience. He handed over the food and walked off without saying where to pay — no greeting, no thank you, nothing. We originally planned to order a full meal but decided to just get plantains instead. Even then, the attitude completely killed our appetite. If customer service isn’t your thing, maybe working with the public isn’t either.

Even living in Atlanta, I couldn't find a Jamaican that came even remotely close to Mercy's. I will drive an hour to two hours to get Mercy's. My fave is the 3 meat combo with brown stew chicken, jerk chicken and oxtail. Peas and rice are complimentary with every entree so my 2 sides are always cabbage and collards. Can't forget the beef patties and a pineapple ginger beer (it's really just soda) to wash it all down. The 3 meat combo is about $33 and the plate is like 4 pounds. VERY generous portions. I'm sad they don't open back up until Tuesday, I wanna go get some RET NIE!

As a fellow West Indian, from the island of Antigua, the food from this kitchen is second to none! The meats are seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the many sides are prepared and shared in adequate portions! Respect to Mercy's!!!🇦🇬🙌🏿🫶🏿Never disappoints!

I went there today for the first time. The young lady at the register was very informative, cordial and polite. Of course, I ordered the oxtails, that’s how I gage my first time visit to a Jamaican restaurant. Especially when they claim the title as being the best. When I saw the variety of fruit juices that I’m accustomed to drinking AND they had Soursop, my tastebud guard went down. When I got home and my wife and I both tried the oxtails that were so soft they were falling off the bone, a bright light shined down over us in our living room and the Angels ooooed and aaaaawed their familiar tune. We couldn’t even finish our plates. We both had oxtails, peas and rice, Mac and cheese and collard greens. A nice amount of the oxtail gravy was strategically poured over the rice so my watering mouth would be satisfied. That’s our new spot and only spot for Authentic Jamaican food. We’ll be back.

Best OXTAILS I've ever had. I live 75 miles away. I've been contemplating going back ever since I had them. It surely won't be long before I return. I spent a little over $100 but the food was well worth it. It was enough food for me and three other people.

Food is very good. My favorite is jerk chicken. I wish there was more seating while waiting for your food.

I used to eat here 2 to 3 times a week for the past four years or so. I’ve only eaten here once in the last six months however cause of the customer service . I still come in and DoorDash but it’s hard to get help from the older lady at the end . The guy at the counter is pretty respectful. Food is delicious but they treat you like you’re invisible .

This brought me back to some of the Jamaican bodega meals I would get in Jersey City. This place is an absolute gem in Columbus. I highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, delicious, and well priced food. Thank you so much Mercy's for y'all's wonderful food!

I ordered a jerk meal from Mercy’s Jamaican restaurant , but I sent my husband to pick it up since I was very sick. I was given old seemingly burnt cabbage with a nasty taste. The peas and rice was dried out and I was given a leg and thigh that tasted nasty and old instead of the two legs I’ve always gotten. When I pick up my preordered meal, it is prepared in front of my face when I arrive at the restaurant but my husband said he didn’t notice them preparing the meal after he arrived. Since this was his first time picking up for me, he didn’t know the routine. My advice is DO NOT send an unfamiliar person who doesn’t know the routine to pick up your meal. By the way, I lost over $12.00 on that meal. It had to be thrown away. Mercy’s gained. I lost.

Customer service was friendly, no eye contact. Had oxtail with rice and peas but wasn't good threw it in the trash can.
