While in Columbus for work I found this place on Google. Went in and ate at the bar. First thought was, how comfortable the atmosphere was. It's nothing fancy, very casual, but also extremely warm and welcoming. I ordered the fajitas and they were fantastic. The main reason for the 5 stars here is the server Brianna, who made this a pleasant experience. She has a great personality and was extremely attentive. They're lucky to have her there. Highly recommend Monterrey Tex Mex if you're in the area!

Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and hot! Service was great I was surprised for such a quaint little spot. The salsa was great seemed home made with a little kick but nothing crazy! Queso was good as well. Wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often !!! We had steak fajitas for two cones with 6 tortillas but I used the complimentary chips as well!

It was ok at first , I ordered an appetizer and my server JiCela was rude as hell . She gave me my appetizer after my entree was gone , and then it was greasy you couldn’t taste nothing but the grease . I asked for it to be taken off my bill because I did not eat it , and she snatched it out my hand and was very rude about it . She supposed to be a manager but her customer service was horrible ! SEEK A NEW ONE !!

Being from Texas, it's hard to find good tex mex. This place is really good. Beyond excellent service. Rice and cheese enchiladas were great. 8 of us and everyone had something different and we all really enjoyed the food. Heidi, our waitress, was running her tail off serving the whole restaurant.

This was our second visit to Monterrey. We stay overnight at the Home2Suites just around the corner once a year on our way to Florida. The food and service were wonderful! It was quite warm in the restaurant but the margaritas and other drinks are ice cold. Their salsa is delicious as well. We ordered the Street Tacos and Chile Colorado this visit. If you’re lucky, Heidy will be your server!

Well to start off, I Wanted to give this place a chance, so Ordered steak and chicken fajitas came with a side of rice and beans, and of course, the guacamole and sour cream salad also came with pico de gallo so I ordered my food from here thru uber eats first of all, and it took a while to get picked up, so that’s why when it arrived the food was cold!. ok, ill give them that much, but not very tasty and left a nasty after taste in my mouth & I love Mexican food and ive had better honestly from a few other places in Columbus ga this was a complete waste of money sorry not sorry just goto El Carrizo, Sapos Or the one and only El Vaquero because This spot isn’t it truthfully my in my opinion After a few bites, my stomach was flipping never again!!!!!! Wasted my time!!!! And money!!! Highly unsatisfied!!! I won’t think about coming back or trying it again!!!!!
