Service is excellent, and the food is the best we've had here in Columbus. My wife and I go there for lunch once a week most weeks. We rarely miss a week. I would recommend Monterey Tex Mex to family, friends, and anyone who likes Mexican food. Enjoy ☺️

Best Secret in Columbus, Georgia. Very accomodating waitress Jicela cared about my selections, service was perfect and prompt. I was able to get in and out on lunch break. Food was good! Atmosphere perfect for my preference for a small local spot. Thank you Jicela!! Price was good, considering a customized/added shrimp.. I am special… complicated but they did great!! We came from Virginia on business and found this treasure of a Mexican restaurant in the heart ❤️ of Columbus, while we were leaving Lowes. For real, this is the diamond 💎 in the haystack restaurant, the kind you will and should recommend to all your friends and family. The restaurant was the best experience we've had for atmosphere, price, taste, food and service. But the high light ✨️ will be Jisela, the owner/manager/waitress. She is so warm, inviting (beautiful), and one of the thousand reasons why you will come back time and time again. I actually asked Juan, the chef, to come out from the kitchen to thank him for the portion, quality, presentation of the delicious food. Ironically, the bill was the best part of the meal. What a wonderful experience for the most reasonable price. Say hello to Jicela, from three compatriots!

While in Columbus for work I found this place on Google. Went in and ate at the bar. First thought was, how comfortable the atmosphere was. It's nothing fancy, very casual, but also extremely warm and welcoming. I ordered the fajitas and they were fantastic. The main reason for the 5 stars here is the server Brianna, who made this a pleasant experience. She has a great personality and was extremely attentive. They're lucky to have her there. Highly recommend Monterrey Tex Mex if you're in the area!

Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and hot! Service was great I was surprised for such a quaint little spot. The salsa was great seemed home made with a little kick but nothing crazy! Queso was good as well. Wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often !!! We had steak fajitas for two cones with 6 tortillas but I used the complimentary chips as well!

It was ok at first , I ordered an appetizer and my server JiCela was rude as hell . She gave me my appetizer after my entree was gone , and then it was greasy you couldn’t taste nothing but the grease . I asked for it to be taken off my bill because I did not eat it , and she snatched it out my hand and was very rude about it . She supposed to be a manager but her customer service was horrible ! SEEK A NEW ONE !!
