The first time I went and got the rib tips, they were the best I've ever had; however, today I had my step dad go get some and they were not it. I had them order with no sauce but on the side sauce only and they were drenched in sauce which is what I didn't want. They were also undercooked, way too much fat on them and not cooked hard at all. I was highly disappointed because it was completely different from the way they were cooked the last time. My last order they did right but this order today not at all. Perhaps different cooks...I don't know. I want to give them another try because I know what they're capable of.

Sadly we did not enjoy our meal despite everything looking good.. The ribs and rib tips were under cooked, smelled and tasted like lighter fluid. Everything lacked seasoning. The black eye peas were watery and flavorless. The greens looked and tasted like they came straight out of the can. The potato salad was lacking some serious flavor. The Mac and cheese was dry and nasty. The cornbread was good and slightly sweet. The chicken dressing was also good and had nice flavor. The gravy that came with the dressing was not good at all . I'm happy it came on the side. The food was expensive and not good. Never again.

WOW! Food was fresh and delicious! I ordered the rib tip sandwich with yams and mac n cheese. Talk about flavor in every bite!!!!! Fast service, clean facility, and affordable prices. Will definitely come again!

Definitely a 10/10. Got the 4 rib plate with Brussels sprouts and dressing. Ribs were tender with a tangy bbq sauce. They have the best Brussel sprouts I’ve ever had and the dressing was amazing!

Damn good ribs! I highly recommend the ribs (with sauce!) and the baked beans. I dropped in just before the close of business. I feared the ribs might be dry after cooking all day. To my delight (and as promised by the man at the counter), the ribs were moist, full of smoky flavor, and the sauce was superlative. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. The baked beans were sweet and had a touch of a hot spice. Just a touch but enough that you feel it. The shop is just a little place which allows the employees/owners to be so warm and welcoming. I will be back. I can hardly wait to try some of their desserts.
I can't rate the food as I wasn't able to try it. Google says open but when I got there it was closed. Would be nice if he would keep that updated so people don't make unnecessary trips..very disappointed!?

Ladies and gentlemen I am happy to report a full belly and a glad spirit after having inhaled my rib tips, collard greens, and homemade dressing. I have been supporting this gentleman for a few years now and I'm glad to see that God has blessed him to be able to have a brick and mortar building to operate out of. Everything on the menu is cooked with love and you will not be disappointed if you come and support Mr V's Barbecue

Ordered the chip pork sandwich and it was not chipped at all. It was cut up in chunks and the meat was very dry. The coleslaw did not have a good taste and did not help the meat at all.
I had a completely different experience this 2nd time visiting Mr.V’s. This time I asked for the sauce on the ribs and was shocked at how dry they were. These are clearly old ribs that no amount of sauce will redeem. The mac and cheese was shameful. I tried patronizing this business and ordered their black eyed peas w/okra (there was no okra btw)that was served in a 4 oz. Cup at a reasonable $4.90!!! That’s approx. the size of a cup you use to rinse your mouth out at the dentist. Ridiculous!!! The only thing that was good was the potato salad!

Everything on Mr. Vs menu is delicious. The customer service is excellent and you're greeted with a smile. My wait wasn't long at all, I always get the rib tray sauce on the side. You can call in for catering orders as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Odessa last week. I'll definitely be back...and the brisket is Devine?
