This has got to be… without a doubt… the WORST Chinese restaurant ever! The pic below is what I was charged for $21… $21!!!!! Normally I don’t mind paying a lot for food as long as it’s GOOD and the portions are worth it. When I saw the lady hand me the bag, I was highly disappointed. It was so small! A tiny container of lo mein and a small bowl of orange chicken.. no rice! And with a Diet Coke. All for $21!!! That is ridiculous!! I got scammed big time! I came from a long drive (Macon, Ga) where we don’t pay that much for Chinese food. We pay (at maximum) $13 and the portions are huge! When that cashier lady told me it was $21, I thought for a second that it was going to be a decent size plate like the one viral Chinese spot on TikTok. Boy when I tell you… and the food was disgusting! I didn’t finish at all. The lo mein was overly salty. And the orange chicken was hard to chew. It ruined my appetite. I don’t get how these other reviews gave them a high rating. I really don’t. I should’ve trusted my instinct when I pulled up and there was not a single soul in that restaurant! Very disappointed.

Customer service is absolutely horrible. The lady has no patience and yells. I haven’t tried many things there but the mei fun noodles are absolutely amazing!!!

Amazing! I went here with my kids and they love it! The lo mein was amazing it had the perfect sauce and texture. The chicken was super good and seasoned well! It was super good and I recommend this!🩷🩷

This is my go to place in Columbus for Chinese food. They have served fantastic Hot and Sour soup and Fried Dumplings to me for nearly 20 years. I am glad to say they are still doing so in 2025. Give them a try I think you will be pleased.

This review will be brutally honest, as should all good reviews. New China Express Columbus, Georgia, is like most fast-food chinese takeout, so if you are in the mood for bland food, this is the place for you, but don't think it's cheap, Iwas out $157 for 6 people. The battered chicken was more like chicken infused batter(which was like taking a bite out of a rock) all three chicken entrees used the same sauce(General,Sesame and Orange) so I truly wouldn't have been able to tell the difference, if it hadn't been for a few Sesame seeds on one, orange peel on another and well nothing on the General tso's. Don't waste your time or money at New China Express.

Had house lomein and spring rolls. The food tasted ok. Instead of lomein noodles I got spaghetti noodles and it barely had any protein. It's suppose to come with chicken, beef and shrimp. I ordered no shrimp but paid for extra beef but it still had only a couple pieces so I just got a bowl full spaghetti noodles. I want my grutidy back!!

Bring your own flatware. The plastic fork provided at the restaurant is the world's tiniest.
