I tried this place today in the food truck park. I ordered cajun fries. The fries where so hard I could not sink my teeth through them. The fries appeared to be fried twice and soaked in grease.

I'm willing to give them another chance because I love NOLA food. My Cajun fries i ordered was super hard. I was unable to enjoy them. I ended up throwing them in the trash.

@Gideon Staples First let me say sorry you missed the best food you will get in Columbus, GA and the only authentic New Orleans meal you'll receive in the area. The open sign you are referring to stays on so that customers know that the business is there, because a lot of people still are not aware that the business is a location and not the commissary where the truck is just parked. Also hours does fluctuate.

I am a former native of Louisiana, lived most of my life 5 minutes outside of New Orleans, and my mother made her living from cooking. I said all that to say, when I am not in the mood to cook a native dish, I frequent Po-Boy City. This is the real deal, I have been many places trying to find dishes I grew up eating and cooking, and Po-Boy City is one of the best!

They came to my job at lunchtime. No food prepared. No payment method. No silverware or plates. Setup shop and left. My employees missed lunch expecting food to be prepared. Don't support this business.

Ordered the Shrimp Po' Boy and the seafood gumbo. The sandwich was disappointing to say the least. It did not have remoulade sauce which is what traditional New Orleans po' boys have, IT HAD MAYO! YUCK! The Shrimp was presently fried and the hoagie was fresh and not stale. The gumbo was outstanding, just the right amount of heat (spicy) and full of flavor and seafood. I may try this restaurant again but only for the gumbo.

I just got a shrimp and oyster poboy from Poboy City, to me they were a lot better than the ones I got at the Shrimp Basket. The Red Bean and rice is off the chain. I got a small and now wish I had got a large order. Will be going back. Thank you for the great service.

Great environment! Loved the people there. Wish I wasn't only on vacation to Columbus so that I could eat there more often. Best place to get NOLA in Columbus.

Yay!!!! Finally!!!! N'awlins has made it to Columbus, Ga. This is the real deal.... it was awesome!!! If you want Cajun/Creole and a taste of authentic New Orleans cooking. This is it! Sooo sorry... Thibodeaux's & Cafe Le Rue.... watch and learn! Their food is good for imposters. But, it's not New Orleans. The gumbo is delicious. And, crawfish...yes!...crawfish! Yum! We had crawfish, shrimp, sausage, potatoes & corn (lo country boil) and it was divine. I'm talking died and went to heaven kinda good. Loved it! The people that work there (it's a family place) are friendly and are true New Orleans.... translation: they treat you like family and make you feel at home, like you've known them forever. It's a must try! But, beware highly addictive!

Some real good food, especially the seafood. All the flair of New Orleans you can get in Columbus is in Po-Boys! The soft-shell crabs are my favorite. Po-Boys also does events so give them a call for your next shindig.
