6 out of 5 stars!Came into Columbus, GA for work and woke up starving. I found The Smokey Pig from a suggestion on my GPS and figured I would try it out. I showed up right as the owner, Robbie, was opening up at 10am. He was very cool and friendly. Let me try some of the meats he had on the open smoke rack while I was getting my bearings and deciding on what to eat. The place was clean and has a good amount of seating. The food: oh Lord, THE FOOD!! It was phenomenal. I had the chipped pork BBQ sandwich with their signature BBQ sauce and two sides: baked beans and homemade Brunswick stew. I got a second sandwich. I had to. Then he mentioned the chilled banana pudding and I was sold. All told with a Large fountain drink I spent 24$ (including tip) and I had half of it devoured before I left the parking lot. Spread the word: THE SMOKEY PIG BBQ is the best BBQ in Columbus, maybe even all of GA. Enjoy! ?Parking: There is plenty of parking but If you're bringing family and friends, maybe carpool.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessibility with no need for ramps or stair accommodations. I did not check the bathrooms.

Ordered per door dash. One pound of bbq. Meat was dry and unseasoned. Without bbq sauce. Sad.

I was there in the summer of 2022 and it was incredible, the owner showed us the fire place and was very kind allowing us to try pieces of meat that we had not ordered.

The Q here is not what I call pork BBQ but rather pork in sauce. This is fairly typical of BBQ in this region of the country. The pork over-cooked then either ground up or diced and smothered in sauce. It's what is served in this area in every BBQ spot I have tried and I have tried several of them. Georgia is no haven for BBQ so people don't really know what properly prepared pork is supposed to be. I measure pork BBQ by the meat not the sauce. The pork should be moist with some "bark" and smoked flavor and can be enjoyed on its own with no sauce. I will try this place again but I will try the ribs instead.

We shared a sample of the pork and the chicken with a side of Brunswick stew and baked beans. The pork and chicken were delicious with just the right amount of smoke, tender and juicy. Good portions! Service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back to try the ribs!

A friend recommended Smokey Pig BBQ on a recent visit to Columbus. The building is unassuming, but the food here is the best. The owner and staff were so gracious and patient with us. (It's a counter service style restaurant and our group of five took quite some time to make our lunch choices!) I had the pork sandwich with potato salad and Brunswick stew. I'd go back for just the stew alone. In business for 70 years, these folks are doing everything right!

Some of the best BBQ in Columbus. We went for lunch when traveling in the area and would definitely detour to stop here again. Staff was also super friendly. Highly recommend.

I went there got to chip sandwiches they charged me $5 and some change for the same size sandwiches that you can go to 13th Street andpay 1.99 for and then half of my sandwich didn't even have meat on it I was at work and not able to take my sandwich back down there to get it replaced they told me to hang on to my sandwich until I can get back down there to replace it I was really unhappy with the the rudeness of the guy that works there
