First and foremost I absolutely love the Flying Biscuit as a restaurant, but today July 11th 2025 at approximately 8:35am I had one of the worst customer service experiences I have had at a restaurant. The "General Manager" asked me to leave the restaurant because I ordered my breakfast to go, and on a whim I decided to stay and eat in the restaurant. He was very rude but at that time I decided to leave without incident. Afterwards I decided to call the restaurant and unfortunately was connected with this same rude "General Manager". He proceeded to be rude informing me that he was glad that the interaction occurred on camera. I was befuddled because all he did was rudely ask me to leave the restaurant with no tact what so ever. Then he proceeded to inform me of a policy that states if you order to go you can't decide to stay and eat. Mind you the restaurant was not busy what so ever. I won't be dining there knowing that I could possibly be asked to leave the establishment with no real reasoning. This has left me very disappointed and unwelcomed going forward dining at the Flying Biscuit in Columbus Georgia. Won't be going back!! Has anyone else had a bad customer service experience at The Flying Biscuit Columbus Georgia on 13th street? The worst customer service!

My son, a teenager on the autism spectrum, just called to tell me about a situation they experienced at your establishment this afternoon. My very loving, empathetic, and compassionate son was humiliated and distressed as one of your servers screamed at him and his father, “Get the f*ck out!” Does your establishment seek to have non-aggressive and professional responses and problem-solving strategies? Or do you prefer to harass and harangue neurodivergent people and others with intellectual challenges? Please let me know so that I can help others I know, especially those living and traveling through your area know as well. My son is very upset, very embarrassed, and even perhaps permanently altered by your employee’s poor choice of response. It’s distressful to me, too, as a proponent of logical, constructive, and peaceful conflict resolution. Truly, I find the situation deplorable. Here’s the breakdown of what occurred to inspire your representative’s vitriol: While there, my ex-husband made the mistake of taking a photo of someone’s leg tattoo without asking permission first. While I feel strongly that photos of people should be taken only with permission to do such, the U.S. of America is a single-consent country that protects, as portion of the 1st Amendment, the right to take photography in public spaces. That said, I am happy for my ex-husband to acquire the finesse of first asking before taking such photos. Confirmed through discussion with both my son and his father, I firmly believe my ex and our son simply apologized and left. They are exceptionally good people, though. You all could learn a lot from them to help you be better people, too.

Everything thing was hot fresh and delicious. The creamy dreamy grits were the best ever. The omelet and biscuits are top notch. Now I know why my daughter loves this place.

My sister and I had a breakfast date on 8/21/24. After dropping her kids off to school. We headed to this restaurant that she selected to make me try for the first time. The interior is nice, clean and bright.

We started off with Green Fried tomatoes appetizer $8.99. It was yummy ? and crispy. It was lightly battered and the season well. For our drinks, we got the cappuccino I ordered the mini shrimp and grits requested cajun spice $8.49. This was delicious and flavorful? My sister ordered the smoked Salmon scramble $12.99. This was delicious and the salmon had pretty fishy ? taste ? We also ordered a side of Belgian waffle to share. It was light and airy (not dense).

Our server was pretty prompt to take our orders and timely in serving us our food. She was a little but to eager to clear our plates when we weren’t quite done. Seemed like she was in a hurry for some odd reason. She gave us our check in the middle of us eating and we almost felt a little rushed to eat and get out. This didn’t deter us. We kept our pace as normal.

Overall, the food was enjoyable. I would return to try other items on the menu.

I went to the Flying Biscuit for the first time in Atlanta a few months back and had a great experience. Just found out recently there was one in Columbus so I wanted to try it again. I went in around 1:15 pm I read the sign wrong so I thought they closed at 4 not 2. If I knew it was 2 I would've waited and come back another day. Ordered the palmetto omelet The food was ok, sat at the bar and The bartender appeared to be having a bad day. I felt rushed to order. I ordered a peach mimosa and there was something that looked like food stuck to the inside of the cup so I wasted $7 because I didn't drink it once I saw that. I'm not sure if I will return.

First time dining here and the food was amazing! Service was even better. Thank you to a colleague that told me to give it a try.

I had the hangover hash just as it comes and there was definitely enough food for two? Great portion size

This establishment has a relaxed and casual atmosphere, and the prices are very reasonable. During my initial visit, I was thoroughly impressed. I chose to sit at the bar, where I received exceptional service from Ms. Alecia. She is an outstanding waitress with a positive attitude and a radiant smile.

This place is as unprofessional as a truck stop. We arrived at 11:30 am, joined the waiting list and was told we had a 30 minute wait despite having 7 or 7 open tables. After 45 minutes I asked how much longer we would need to wait and I pointed out that they had at least 7 open tables. I was told that there was 3 more groups ahead of us in the waiting list. After I questioned them about the open tables, I was told the kitchen was backed up and that they couldn't seat us out of order. I wasn't asking to be sat out of order. If there was 3 groups ahead of us, there was plenty of room for all groups to be sat and still have room for more. But these people would rather tell their customers to go next door to Nonic, than to have them seated and waiting at the table. The management here needs to understand that customers that are sat at their tables are far less likely to leave than when left outside waiting. And when questioned by a potential customer that has just wasted 45 minutes of their day, being apologetic and understanding to that person would be much better than being condescending and rude. I'm very glad we didn't waste our money here the way they wasted our time. We were hoping to have a nice experience there for my niece. It was her 18th birthday. But judging by the reviews the food isn't good anyway. I guess I should have read the reviews before we came in. It was a total waste of time!
