The Loft is a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the ambiance but for the price on food I expected better. The ribs were over done and my wife’s chicken was over cooked as well. On the flip side they do offer free chips and French onion dip but you have to ask for them.

So, my husband and I were told that this place served the best salmon and we wanted to check it out. However, upon looking at the brunch/lunch menu, no salmon was offered. Nevertheless, we stayed. My husband ordered a breakfast bowl, which included something called “waffle crisps”, and I ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. Thank God we were facing the multiple televisions because we spent about 40 minutes watching them while we waited on our food!
Now, our waitress, Emma, provided great service! She stopped by our table 4 times—all while hurriedly carrying food (which included waffles) to a large party who came in almost 30 minutes AFTER us—and informed us that our food was “coming out soon” and was very apologetic because we had been waiting so long.
After the 39th minute, I asked for a manager. “Ken” came over and handled the situation like she was giving a masterclass on how to handle a customer complaint. She was sincere and genuinely concerned.
Within the next 10 minutes, we received our food and it did taste great. The chicken was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. My husband said everything in his bowl was “good.”
We may or may not return, that’s up in the air, but our first experience here will keep us away for a while.
**And for the record, someone did inform us that the large party who came in after us was the owner’s wife, which is why that table got served first!!!*** As a paying customer, that was POOR excuse for bad customer service.

One of my favorite places to eat in Uptown Columbus. My husband and I love coming here because it is where we first met. It’s a great local spot. The food is always amazing. Unstuffed Chicken or the Filet Medallions are my favorite. Also, ask for their homemade chips and French onion dip. Not only is it complementary, they taste amazing. I must not forget ANY of the Momma Kay desserts are FANTASTIC! Icebox cake or cheesecake are my favorites. Joshua was a fabulous server tonight. He was funny and had great timing for service. Very prompt and great attitude. (See Joshua I do give good reviews) 🙂 Thank you for taking care of our table of 4 ! God bless.

On Aug. 27, 2025, I had a surprise birthday dinner at The Loft for a party of 20 and NOTHING was disappointing!! First and foremost... I truly want to Thank Avan for booking this special reservation from afar and following up to ensure all accommodations were available upon my arrival. We had to privilege of having one of the best servers at The Loft by the name of Bailey. Bailey was PHENOMENAL and host the entire party on his own!!! Bailey was Extremely professional, patient, and helpful to our guest. He took time to explain items on the menu thoroughly and made great suggestions of basis off your preferences. Not one time did we lack refills on drinks, wait for bar drinks or had to wait for food to arrive!!! The cooks were on point and didn't miss a beat. The food presentation was beautifully delivered, temperature was perfect and very tasty! Bailey even went above and beyond by wrapping the remaining birthday cake and took it out to our vehicle. If you're looking for a restaurant with a cozy section for your private event and Exceptional Customer Service, look no further. Book your reservation at The Loft and Please do yourself the favor to request Bailey as your server, Trust Me, You won't be disappointed!!! I ordered Salmon with Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts (not a huge fan of salmon) but OMG, it was to die for 😋!!! My boyfriend ordered the St. Louis style ribs and said the ribs were Amazing; falling off the bone tender, well seasoned and the best he's ever encountered. The Loft was a first time dining of several guest in attendance and heard nothing bout great comments regarding the great hospitality by Bailey, amazing food and the affordable prices. So I Thank You All once again for allowing us to celebrate this special milestone at your restaurant and we look forward to returning to dine with you all again ❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️.
