The food here was amazing, atmosphere was great and the waitress we had was 5 star. I definitely recommend the loft to anyone visiting Columbus. If you want to be seated on the first floor where the bar is i recommend a reservation but walk ins are turned away I'd they have the space.
Tip: If the hostess says the first floor is full and tries to seat you outside, just ask about upstairs if you don't want to seated outdoors. I assume they are trying to keep possible tips for themselves but if you prefer indoors just ask.

Order Mahi Mahi fish sandwich expecting a filet of fish on sandwich.
Received a sandwich with a 3 inch by 6 inch breaded brick of fish. The sandwich was tasteless.
The sandwich was a major disappoint. My impression of the restaurant has been severly diminished.

Had my birthday dinner here and everything from the service to the food was phenomenal! Downstairs gives off a more family friendly vibe but the upstairs seems to suited best for a nice romantic evening which is what we were going for. Will definitely return!

…came into the Loft restaurant hungry….ordered the $30 salmon dish that came with 2 sides….disappointed at the portion sizes of the salmon and both sides …food was excellent but my hunger was not satisfied…wasn’t about to drop an additional $10 for dessert

The Loft is a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the ambiance but for the price on food I expected better. The ribs were over done and my wife’s chicken was over cooked as well. On the flip side they do offer free chips and French onion dip but you have to ask for them.

So, my husband and I were told that this place served the best salmon and we wanted to check it out. However, upon looking at the brunch/lunch menu, no salmon was offered. Nevertheless, we stayed. My husband ordered a breakfast bowl, which included something called “waffle crisps”, and I ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. Thank God we were facing the multiple televisions because we spent about 40 minutes watching them while we waited on our food!
Now, our waitress, Emma, provided great service! She stopped by our table 4 times—all while hurriedly carrying food (which included waffles) to a large party who came in almost 30 minutes AFTER us—and informed us that our food was “coming out soon” and was very apologetic because we had been waiting so long.
After the 39th minute, I asked for a manager. “Ken” came over and handled the situation like she was giving a masterclass on how to handle a customer complaint. She was sincere and genuinely concerned.
Within the next 10 minutes, we received our food and it did taste great. The chicken was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. My husband said everything in his bowl was “good.”
We may or may not return, that’s up in the air, but our first experience here will keep us away for a while.
**And for the record, someone did inform us that the large party who came in after us was the owner’s wife, which is why that table got served first!!!*** As a paying customer, that was POOR excuse for bad customer service.
