The service here is incredibly frustrating. The individual I spoke with couldn't handle a simple two item order from the menu, forgetting immediately what was just said . It felt like they had no idea what was going on around them. Why are they only staffing young girls, and no adults?Save yourself the headache and go somewhere with a more capable team.

Food was decent but service absolutely sucked, didn’t get anything that we asked for on our burgers until we were going out the door and the waitress asked if we wanted our lettuce for the burgers, never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything. Asked multiple times for silverware and ended up having to get up and get it ourselves. Not to mention the price was horrible, for only two full meals and 2 burgers only was 75$.

Homegrown restaurant with good food and friendly workers. We ate the burgers, shared the tots with chili and cheese and left pleasantly plump and full. Not a bad price for the food, but it's cheaper if you pay with cash.

I stopped by this place recently, and in my opinion, their stew is hands-down the best thing on the menu. If you go, definitely try it - it’s the standout item for sure.

That said, there are a few things worth mentioning. Their Health Department score is an 85, which is lower than I’m comfortable with. The service is noticeably slow, even when the restaurant isn’t busy. On top of that, there’s an upcharge for using a credit card, and another upcharge for to-go orders, which adds up quickly.

Overall, the stew is amazing, but there are some areas that need improvement to bring the whole experience up to that level.

The burgers were alright. The fries were soggy. The friesld mushrooms were froze in the middle. They remade them and they were better. The corn nuggets were good. Service was decent.

French Fries were cold and limp
Hush Puppies seemed to be double fried - when biting into them you could see layers of where grease had dried - they were basically grease balls
Coleslaw was good - seamed homemade
Gril Cheese seemed to of been deep fried and not grilled
Cashier was rude to me and to those that call in orders
Waitress was pleasant and restaurant area was clean

I dropped by Huck’s Cafe the other day — a cozy little diner‑style spot nestled on a quiet road in Commerce. Walking in felt like entering a down‑home restaurant you’d find in a small town: nothing flashy or pretentious, just a no‑frills vibe and a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel welcome whether you're just grabbing lunch or sharing a meal with friends.

I went for what looked like the signature: a big, juicy burger with fries. The burger was exactly what I hoped — solid beef, good sear, fresh toppings, and a bun that didn’t feel like an afterthought. The fries were crunchy and salty, great for digging into while waiting. It felt like simple, honest comfort food done right.

There’s something nice about how unpretentious Huck’s is. It doesn’t try too hard to be gourmet. Instead it leans on reliable, satisfying dishes: burgers, sandwiches, fries, maybe wings or whatever hits the spot. Everything felt familiar, like the kind of meal that hits you in a “just what I needed” kind of way.

Service had that small‑town feel: friendly, casual, not rushed. On a slow afternoon there were only a few customers, but the staff still greeted me with a smile and made sure I had what I needed. It’s the kind of place where you don’t feel like you’re being served — more like you’re eating at a neighbor’s diner.

All in all, Huck’s Cafe hits that sweet spot between low‑key and reliably filling. If you’re into good burgers, simple comfort food, and a relaxed atmosphere without fuss — this place works. I’d gladly go back next time I want something easy, tasty, and no‑drama.

One of the four in our party loved his food. He got a Philly Steak....but cold fries. Do NOT get the grilled chicken breast. It is chopped up like hibachi style. The onion rings were really good and the coleslaw was good. After we got our food...no one came back to check on us. We needed drinks..but nothing. Also, one person in our party did not get all their food...but their was no one to ask.
