AJ’s Pizza Pub has a welcoming vibe and a great atmosphere that makes you comfortable from the moment you walk in . There are comfortable booths and tables and a nice bar and plenty of friendly people enjoying food and drinks as well as serving them . If I had a pizza spot I’d want it to be very similar to this . We ordered the $29.99 special - a large pizza and 10 wings added on a $6 and two drinks . Somehow the bill totaled $50 . I’m not sure how the $6 salad and the two drinks added up to $20 , but it was a matter of a few dollars and not worth arguing about .
The pizza , while probably the best in the area ( Cornelia, Clarkesville, Demorest and Baldwin… even Toccoa ) was unremarkable. The crust doesn’t seem to be fermented like traditional NY style is . The cold proofing of the dough usually results in a crust that is crisp and chewy with a tangy taste . This was just kind of bready , though the bottom was nice and crisp and cooked perfectly , and seemed to be stone or steel baked . There was very little sauce and most bites were just cheese bread . The pepperoni sat on top of the pizza , and seemed like it had been cooked on a pan and tossed on top of a cheese pizza . It was so unremarkable I didn’t even take a picture, I will include one here from my last visit , that I ordered with extra sauce ( it was better) .
The wings, however, were exceptional ! Really , really good . Easily in the top 5 I’ve ever had . My wife eats wings EVERYWHERE . She orders them plain with sauce on the side . She’s very picky and states that these are among the best she’s ever eaten . A word of warning though, the hot buffalo is HOT!!! We had to ask for mild instead . It’s hot y’all.
I don’t want this review to come off as bashing AJ’s it’s an awesome spot with a great atmosphere . The service was top notch , our waitress was great . We will definitely come back .
Fun place with great people . If you’re a pizza snob , like me , the pizza may leave you a bit underwhelmed , but it’s still decent pizza and better than anything else in the region. The salad and wings were great and I’ll try something else next time .

Have to say. The sauces are one of kind original flavors. The Scorpion Death Lock is hotter than the Slow Burn at Taco Mac. His Scorpion sauce seems to be unique. It would be death hot for average person but nice burn for those of us they like the heat. I have not tasted this type hot sauce before. This place is very very unique. The Carolina Hot Sweet sauce reminds me of Colorado Coppers from Wild Wings. Also highly recommend the pizza. Never knew this place existed and only lived 15 minutes away. Will be returning soon.

I don’t even know how to say enough FANTASTIC things about AJ’s. I wasn’t feeling well and was craving Chinese food. We aren’t local but realized quickly there isn’t any in the area. We used the parking lot to turn around and my husband saw a sign that said calzones. We sat ourselves and our server promptly come to the table (I don’t remember his name but he’s from Buffalo) we both ordered a soda, would have normally been a pint but as I said wasn’t feeling the best, he brought our drinks we ordered a calzone and a Stromboli, he gave us a food eta and left. Well he come back to the table and asked were we sure we didn’t want an appetizer or salad and I actually did. Well ordered THE BEST antipasto salad and we’re almost done with it when our hot food come. That was hands down the most delicious Stromboli I’ve had. We didn’t have to wait for a carry out box, he immediately took payment and we were out. Honestly everything was perfect. We are planning our next visit for the upcoming weekend.

We recently moved away from the Cornelia area. The things we miss are family, friends and AJ’s Pizza! It’s all excellent - the pizza, the pasta, the wings are the best in town. Along with great food their staff is so friendly! I have no doubt that every visit back will include a stop at AJ’s for us!

But what truly makes AJ’s special is the staff. Every single person we’ve met has an amazing attitude, pays great attention to detail, and is just genuinely kind. On our last visit, Lexi and Lisa were total rock stars — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The people here are their biggest asset, and they keep us coming back time and time again. Highly recommend!

I had gotten off a 12 hour shift and was already tired and me and my husband have been getting to go orders for a very long time never had an issue with our food. We decide to dine in for once and we had sat down and the table had to be cleaned off that wasn’t an issue for us at all but we start off by ordering our soda drinks and than we decided what we wanted to eat placed a order we got ceaser salad and wings and pizza and we had our son with us and he got the spaghetti. Well me and my husband asked another server which later I found out is the OWNER Daughter!!! I asked could we please get another dressing for our salad and I was told that she had to take care of her tables I only asked because I didn’t see our server…. I was very upset at that response cause she could have said it in a different way and been more polite about it! Well than I notice that she is drinking beer in the back and at the front where the bar is now mind you she’s working and drinking on the job whether you are the owner Duaghter or not you were on the clock working that was very unprofessional to me because one it’s a place I have seen family’s dine in with children now I get if they were an actual bar Bar it be okay but not to be a bar and a restaurant!!! I called back the next day to explain my concerns and just acted like she didn’t even care! The food was fantastic but the service sucked and their attitude did as well also my son spaghetti was the very last thing to come out why idk I was upset about that too… kids food should always come out first no matter what! I’ve worked in restaurants before I came a nurse - I hope this issue is addressed cause if not I will take this higher up than just the owners because she shouldn’t have been drinking while working and that’s what you represent when you work you need to be polite and professional….
