Got things we didn't order but paid for. Didn't give us syrup for our waffles. Gave 1 spoon for coffee 3 people at the table had to share spoon. The receipt was all scrambled couldn't make sense of it. Probably because of the orders delivered to the table wrong. When explained to the waitress she didn't fix the problem.

As my saying goes, every Waffle House sucks, unless it’s your Waffle House.and then sometimes:"Not much chance, completely cut loose from purpose, he was a young man riding a bus through (insert location) on the way to somewhere. And it began to snow.And the bus stopped at a little (Waffle House) in the hills and the passengers entered. He sat at the counter with the others, he ordered and the food arived. the meal was particularly good and the coffee.The waitress was unlike the women he had known. She was unaffected, there was a natural humor which came from her. The fry cook said crazy things. The dishwasher in the back laughed a good clean pleasant laugh.And the young man watched the snow through the windows. He wanted to stay in that (Waffle House) forever. The curious feeling swam through him that everything was beautiful there, that it would always stay beautiful there.And then the bus driver told the passengers that it was time to board. The young man thought, "I'll just sit here, I'll just stay here." And then he rose and followed the others into the bus. He found his seat and looked at the (Waffle House) through the bus window. Then the bus moved off, down a curve, downward, out of the hills.The young man looked straight foreward. He heard the otherpassengers speakingof other things, or they were reading or attempting to sleep. They had not noticed the magic. The young man put his head to one side, closed his eyes, pretended to sleep.There was nothing else to do just to listen to the sound of the engine, the sound of the tires in the snow." - Charles B.

Haven't been able to place a to go order at any wafflehouse location since covid, even though they now "provide an online ordering option". I understand if I was trying to order during a rush, but that hasn't been the case for years. Whether it was calling numerous times or attempting to place an online order, it never works. Atrocious.

every time i get waffle house, the experience is different. but this time i wanted to leave a review because i honestly was a little disappointed. we ordered online before going (when i do eat there , i normally go inside but it's almost 2 in the morning and it's COLD in there, iykyk) and added extra items to the order like cheese and gravy. they didn't put either on there unfortunately, burnt the bacon, and the hashbrowns are hard. the service itself was good, it was a quick walk in and walk out and she was super nice, but it's always on and off here. some days you'll get good food and some days it's really bad.
