Honestly this restaurant is a shell of what it used to be. Our first time to City Pharmacy was four years ago, and last night was our last. Apparently they got a new chef last week. The food lacked everything. No excitement. No passion. The small jiffy cornbread (literally a quarter of one small muffin) with a smear of cold butter on the plate is a sad joke. The salad had no dressing or toppings, just poorly cut romaine on a plate. This place has gone downhill so much, what a disappointment. We wanted a nice dinner, but left feeling sad we spent our money here. Our server, Winter was nice. That was the only redeeming thing. City Pharmacy’s time on the square will be coming to a close if they continue to produce this poor quality food.

Salmon was delicious fingerlings were bland brussel sprouts good crab cakes were with that lettuce on the side of it posing as a salad was just okay lemon pepper wings were odd -too big too much breading only tasted salt no lemon pepper breading was one step away from being burnt for the price of the meal couldn’t believe we got one small saucer with two very very small tiny wedges of cornbread for two people -that was comical!! Very long luxurious hair strand in my water…all that for $92!
Iv gone to the square my whole life and if have missed out on this amazing place! Some of the best food I have ever had! Staff was nice and the the place is clean and very nice! If you come to the covington square do not pass up this place!

They open at 4pm. I ordered at 4:20, the only customer in the place. Took em 46 minutes to make a burger. It was okay. I coulda gone to the grocery store and cooked better in that time though.
The place is beautiful, maybe the foods better as you spend more money but the burger is quite expensive at 20 for what it is and the size it is. I guess you're paying for the atmosphere which admittedly is stupendous. It's a beautiful interior, on a beautiful street.

City Pharmacy was excellent! The food was basically perfection on a plate! We enjoyed fries brussels & apples, shrimp & grits, skillet chicken and the salmon. Every bite was amazing! The atmosphere was relaxed, beautiful and romantic. The service was impeccable. We definitely will be back!

Great atmosphere, modern yet holding to the historic charm. Had the crab cakes for appetizer, shrimp and grits for dinner... and it was absolutely perfect. Service was on point and genuinely kind and caring. Our server was an Ohio gal who truly embraced southern hospitality. Will return and look forward to what the new chef brings next! Please keep doing what you are doing.

Phenomenal service! Party of 8 to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Food was fresh, cocktails were well crafted and the ambiance was perfect. Our server Gabby was so accommodating. Would defiantly go back!

Seriously! No oysters, no shrimp and no salmon. This is not the first time. The staff is wonderful and a great place to hang but come on, you’re a restaurant! Are you trying to close?

City Pharmacy used to be our favorite dinner spot in Covington. The food used to be absolutely delicious, very well planned and presented. The charcuterie board was so beautiful and delicious. Now they have removed the charcuterie from the menu and the level of food has gone from 5 stars down to 2 or 3. Please go back to the high standards you used to have. We will come back but not as often or as enthusiastically as before.

The atmosphere was top-notch. Drinks were amazing and food was to die for. Now this place is not cheap, so be aware you will pay quite a bit for everything, but it may be one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Will definitely be going back once I have saved up a few more dollars to splurge.

Last night we ate at City Pharmacy for the first time and we were not disappointed!
This was a night out for my birthday dinner (early birthday dinner as my birthday is this week).
We ordered appetizers, which were Salmon Cakes and Fried Okra. The Salmon cakes were super delicious and the Okra was cut like fries, weren't soggy, and were flavorful. My husband doesn't care for Okra in most cases, but even he liked the Okra.
The entree was spectacular! Both of us ordered the steak filet which came on a bed of potato puree with asparagus on the side. The steaks were cooked to perfection with a nice sear/crust on the outside and they cut like butter! The potato puree was silky, creamy, smooth, and delicious! The asparagus was perfectly seasoned and still had a nice bite!
Overall we were impressed! The staff were super friendly and our waitress was on top of her game!
Be sure to make a reservation and then enjoy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was good, but there was a super long wait for drinks (which were mediocre), and service was tenuous at best. They seem to be not firing on all cylinders.. a disappointment.
