I would have a photo but I ate every single bite. Hands down the best sandwich/donut shop around. We lived in Brooklyn NY for a few years and the is the best place to get our sandwich and pizza fix. The owner is amazing as well. Sweet little hole in the wall.

I don’t often take the time to leave a review, but I enjoy eating out often, frequently try new places and had noticed Donut King in Covington (while having car repairs done up the hill) yet had never eaten there.I am glad to say I have now corrected that extreme oversight of my culinary adventures!I tested Donut King by ordering a chicken salad serving by itself and was duly impressed by the quality, robust taste and serving size; impressed enough to say, “I’ll be back.”The following day (while back for another repair up the hill),I hit the drive thru with a large hunger pang, ordered the 12 inch Ultimate Sub and must say I don’t how long it has been since I’ve been surprised by such quality!The bread was soft, the vegetables crisp with the Boar’s Head meats and cheese piled so high I had to squeeze the impressive creation in order to take a bite. A huge bite. And after the first two or three, the hunger began to subside in between sips of a Coke (that tasted like a Coke should) as I looked down to realize, “Man, I’ve still got another half a sandwich to go. Plus chips!”I slowed down, enjoyed the warm sun through the open window and listened to the radio; simply wanting this pause in my day to last.In closing, I’ll say the grand experience of the meal was first hinted at by the remarkable customer service, something difficult to establish during the brief exchange at a simple drive thru. However, a beaming smile, attention to detail, unsurpassed quality and a return visit established Donut King as a five star addition to my list of future dining stops. Plus, it feels good to have remedied my mistake of never having eaten there.
