Great food and great service. Owner gave us a sample of her collard greens and cabbage and we regretted not ordering it but the fries and coleslaw were amazing too with the Fried Chicken.

I came in shortly before closing and was honestly expecting limited options—but I was blown away. The staff welcomed me warmly, and I still received a fresh, hot meal like it was the beginning of the day. The fried chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the collard greens and cornbread tasted just like home. But the real star? The banana pudding—absolutely amazing! The owner even went out of her way to make a fresh batch just so I could have some, even though they were almost closed. On top of that, I had my toddler with me, and the staff was incredibly kind and sweet to her, which made the whole experience even more special. You can really feel the love and care in both the food and the service. I’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic Fried Chicken, best we have had in years. The roast beef and collards were prise winning. I will also say the Buttermilk pie and the sweet potato pie were great and must haves.

Good is good, but item prices are not posted. A list of available items are handwritten on dry eraser board, without any prices. You have to ask the price of each item.

This is a good little place in an old building and it is just very charming and good.

Great food. Collard greens were very good. Pork chops were also very tasty. Sweet tea just like at home.

This was my first time trying this restaurant, and I will definitely be back! The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Their catfish filets were especially amazing—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I’m so glad we have a spot like this in Covington; good Southern soul food is hard to come by, and this place really hits the mark!

For some unknown reason they were closed.

A solid experience! Nice, home cooked food. Fried green tomatoes were a first for us, and we are glad we tried them! Friendly group of people. Give them a try!

Delicious food! Never disappoints. The fried okra is my favorite I’ve ever had.

No body greeted or spoke to us as we arrived and was waiting for everyone I'm our party to get there. So if you've never been here- go to the register and order your meal- there is no wait staff to greet you, seat and take your order.
Delicious home made food and desserts! They also do catering.

Vegetarian options: Delicious cakes and pies
Fried pork chops
Hoppin John
Cornbread
The buttermilk pie was so good- reminded me of granny's.

The food was so delicious. I had the oxtails over rice and gives you a generous portion for the price.
