First time customer today, I am mostly vegan and eat fish every so often. I’m always trying to find a soul food place that has sides that aren’t cooked with meat, and a place that doesn’t batter the fish in any dairy products. I called to confirm this after seeing the reviews and that it was black owned on Google. I was happy to hear that they catered to my food needs. I’m in town for only a few, I grew up here half of the time other half in another city close by. It’s nice to find a place like this here as I’ve been living in Atlanta for the last 10 years and savannah before that. Okay the on to the food! Glad to stumble upon this gem in Covington! Fish was fried perfectly even though my personal preference is a bit harder (I didn’t request) 8.5/10 and I’m picky and a chef so bear with me. Greens and black eyed peas 7.8/10. Texture, and flavor on point. Could use a pinch on salt in the black eyed peas. Person was nice and patient otp with me and asking my questions. Customer service overall was good. Decor is beautifully pleasing to the eye as well. Much love

Great food. Best southern cooking around. Country fried steak and fried shrimp are my favorites. My wife loves the fried pork chops. Greens are a winner. Staff are very pleasant and are always working hard to get food to you in a timely fashion. Definitely a welcome addition to the Covington food scene.

This the first fast food place in Covington I really enjoyed. The food was fresh and good. I had the catfish fillet, collard greens and yams. The service was great, everyone was friendly and communicated well. Very cute location, I will be returning.
