Mahogany's Jamaican Cuisine

Alright...my honest opinion: 5/10 No flavor to the goat, rice was not fully cooked, and the cabbage is okay. Also, asked for extra gravy and they gave me some kind of oily sauce. Won't go back again, but glad I tried it.

I ordered curried chicken, rice and peas, plantain, and mac and cheese. My fiance had the same but with brown stew chicken. I dont think any of it could have been improved upon for my taste.

I have eaten at most Jamaican restaurants from Macon to Atlanta and nearly everywhere in between and this is going to be my new go-to. All of the food was expertly prepared and left nothing to be desired. Pricing is normal. Props to the chef and staff 🙏🏻🙏🏻

My first visit…
The staff were excited to serve. I immediately ordered jerk chicken out of comfort. I was able to taste the oxtails and I was compelled to order them. I met the owner and they were very humble and pleased to service each customer one by one. The service as timely. The food was fresh and super tasty. I’ve shared my experience with my church and school community. So happy they are right around the corner!

Flavor was great! Could’ve used more oxtail juices on my rice & peas but overall I will be back!! Coco bread and beef patties were good also. My husband and I enjoyed it

Only people that don’t know how to cook would give 5 star this place food as no flavor nothing don’t waste your money here the worst place I ever eat my stomach was so sick you all been warned

I got take out from here. The lady who took my order was very nice and welcoming! Restaurant is so beautiful and CLEAN inside. Food is great. 10/10 for me!!!

10/02... I'm in love with this curry! It's not too salty, (hypertension kills that's all I gotta say) the portion size for the lunch special makes sense! This is the first cabbage that's not my mom's that I actually like! you can actually make a second meal with the cabbage.
If I have to give a critique it would be use less oil

Forgot to take pics but the curry has improved dramatically!!! It's my favorite dish. Please make potatoes and or garbanzo beans a side option to go with it!?I'm currently trying to the stew chicken, the cabbage was a little burnt BUT I've had it before so this must be an isolated incident, the stew chicken itself was a little on the sweet side, and like it wanted to be pepper pot.... the kicker is that there's so many ways to make stew chicken, how can you say it's made wrong. Personally I didn't like this recipe.

Curry was lunch special, oxtail is at regular price size small; large cost more.

Pros: Very clean, friendly, professional, very light on the salt and not spicy, rice was good, meat tender, very spacious.
Cons: Both meals were not flavorful, curry needs more color and thickening maybe add potatoes, use bigger carrots. Oxtail needs to have less oil, more color and more of that flavor that's makes it different from American oxtail because it taste American.
Both meals added up to $32.95; no other items were added to the bill.
My take away; being on a low sodium diet, I really liked the curry (I was disappointed when I didn't get much gravy or meat but it was the lunch special), it wasn't salty nor spicy, exactly how I like it! It just needs to be more thicker and have more curry flavor.
The oxtail needs to be more Jamaican. (When you try it you'll understand what I mean because it's not bad, but if someone said it was purchased at a Jamaican spot you wouldn't believe them) it's lacking that authentic Jamaican flavor.
