The cashier was incredibly rude. I couldn’t understand her accent and she was mad I didn’t know she was saying “dine in?”. Usually people say for here or to go and I’m from Ohio I don’t hear southern accents often. Also she said she has something going on with her ears and that’s why she had her hood up weird - if an employee is sick they shouldn’t be at work, especially when working with food. The food was great, this one woman was not. Coffee was burnt.

I visited this location today with my husband. Since it was our first time eating here we both ordered the Breakfast Platter, which consisted of eggs, sausages, a biscuit and gravy. I added cheese grits to my meal as well. Let me say that the prices aren’t what is posted. This restaurant will .50-$1 you to death until your meal is much higher than you expected. We were charged an extra dollar a piece for the sausage gravy, even though it was supposedly included in the meal. Maybe the sausage gravy was extra, but it wasn’t posted, so I’m not sure. Now to the food. The eggs weren’t good to me at all. We ordered them scrambled with cheese (which is extra) but they were very soft and tasteless. The sausages had no flavor at all and my cheese grits were loaded with a bunch of salt and not much else. Definitely didn’t taste anything like “cheese” grits. More like regular grits that were extra salty. Honestly, the only shining light was the sausage gravy, which was very good in my opinion. The atmosphere was decent and the restaurant itself was clean and well kept. Not sure if I’ll eat here again or not.

I’m from Covington so I have been visiting this Mamies since I was in high school.. literally over 10 years.. since they were in the little building across the street. It pains me to write this review but I am so disgusted with my experience this morning. This morning at 8:40 I called ahead and ordered a Turkey Sausage and egg plate with an extra egg and 2 pancakes on the side with an orange juice. I picked my food up and paid almost $18 in total. The food looked amazing as always. When I got to work and started eating my eggs I pulled a long back hair out of my mouth. I am a black woman with short curly locs so I knew immediately that it wasn’t my hair. I called back up to the store and spoke to the manager named BRENDA. Brenda immediately began to argue with me that there is no way I found a hair in my food because she made my plate herself. After going back and forth with her trying to convince her that I did find a hair and no it was not mine finally I offered to bring the plate back to the store to show her that there was a hair in my food. She insisted that she didn’t want me to bring my food back but still did not offer any resolution. She actually said “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do for you” so I asked if I could just pick up something else. She said “Sure, what do you want?” with a clear attitude and I told her I would come by tomorrow to pick up a biscuit as replacement. After thinking about it.. I won’t be going back. I’ve been eating at Mamies long enough to know I received unfair customer service today. I have always been treated with respect and always had good customer service… until today. I didn’t even ask for my money back as I should've when she gave me attitude. I just wanted my food remade. But after thinking about it.. I’m a loyal customer and also 6 months pregnant and If she couldn’t even give me good customer service after being a customer as long as I have there’s no way I would trust her to make my food again. I’m sad to say Brenda has caused Mamie’s to lose a very loyal customer….

Upon entering, environment was clean and friends. Service was pretty standard. Nothing special. They seemed a little busy with a full drive thru and a few patrons eating inside. Order time to-go was about 12 minutes. The food looks great. But the taste is awful. There is no flavor in the biscuit meals. It was not seasoned properly or not enough. But it was a very bland flavor. The biscuits were buttered good. And the hashbrowns had flavor and cooked perfectly. But the eggs and chicken no real flavor. The turkey sausage same although it comes seasoned a little. I did not finish my meal as it was also cold. Overall the place is a 3star. I may patronize for other items in the future. But currently not going back.

If your looking for a really awesome hand made biscuit with whatever you like in it then you've got to go try it for yourself and then you can also try some of the home cooked meals on the menu.
