I’d highly recommend this place! It’s worth going to for the food itself but the atmosphere makes it even more of an ✨ experience ✨ The staff is very friendly and attentive. The sweet tea chicken and fried chicken mac and cheese are out of this world good!! Don’t miss the signed menus upstairs when you go.

We couldn't pass up an opportunity to dine at the iconic Mystic Grill from the Vampire Diaries television show. The atmosphere was incredible, the food and drinks were delicious, and the service was awesome!! Our server was actually named Elena! A restaurant with over an hour wait time should have amazing food — that’s what I thought, but I was completely disappointed. I ordered a ribeye steak, and it was the worst I’ve ever had. No taste, no seasoning, very tough, and overpriced. I think they should focus more on improving the food instead of their fancy costumes.

Not to loud, cozy environment! A nicer restaurant feel! Plus any fans of the vampire diaries will love it! They offer a slushi in a glass cup with TV show quotes as a souvenir as well.

If you go to this town make a reservation early,( we had a 3 hour wait). We went as a party of 8....everyone enjoyed this place. Atmosphere was interesting in a good way...staff character dressed and were really frindly. Food was amazing...i had the best salmon I've ever ate anywhere. The town itself is so beautiful and quaint. Discovered they have tape a LOT of shows and movies there. Sooo just know....parking is horrible, and make a reservation....then enjoy.

The staff were so friendly here and our food and drinks were great! There is lots of memorabilia upstairs that you can just take a look at. Super interesting!

Great Mood. Everything was beautifully decorated at Halloween time and on our visitor day and Covington it was the Harry Potter theme day at the Mystic Grill. Every hour there was a short dance performance and the waiters were dressed as Hogwarts students, Dobby, Professor Sprout, etc. Of course it was also exciting for us to sit at the bar as Vampire Diarys fans and let everything work on us. As for the food - only just before 17:00 we got the day ticket from which we would have already chosen something. Then it was exchanged for the evening menu at 5pm sharp and our selected dishes were no longer on it. It was said we can no longer order these- I wondered why we didn't get the evening ticket right away, that would have been easier. The food was average and not bad, many dishes are unfortunately spicy or with blue cheese. Whoever has no problem with that will be happy.

Hands down the worst grilled cheese I’ve ever had. It had such potential. A grilled cheese should be ooey, gooey with cheese, this one was dry as a bone. The two pieces of bread didn’t even stick together. I will not be returning. And, for reference, this is the first review of any place I’ve ever eaten.
