This was our first time to mystic falls aka Covington ga. Mystic grill was better then we thought it be. The food was amazing!! We had an hour wait but it’s definitely worth it!!! We also went on a Saturday night. If I could give a ten I would. Our waitress was amazing as well and very nice and very attentive.

Jules was so wonderful and an excellent server. She new product and how to upsell. Definitely a keeper. The restaurant decor was amazing and comfortable. Amazing atmosphere! Highly recommend eating here. You can also see autographed menus from Vampire Diaries, Stranger things and Sweet Mangnolias.

I’ve been a fan of the Mystic Grill since I moved to Newton County about 2 years ago. I’ve always heard from locals that it was just a tourist trap but I had never had a bad experience so I continued to go. However, I went twice within the past week and had an awful experience both times. The first time I went this week, I sat at the bar with my partner and had 1 drink each. We ordered our one drink each and immediately cashed out knowing that they were closing in an hour. My partner left the restaurant for a moment and a few minutes later, he came back in just to walk me out to the car. When he walked in to get me, the bartender gave him the dirtiest look, rolled her eyes, and immediately went to gossip with the other servers in the corner. This experience left kind of a sour taste in our mouths but we decided not to let one rude bartender experience throw us off completely. Later in the week, I brought 5 of my friends here and we all sat at our table and had a great time and great service. When we got done, we all paid and got ready to leave. 2 of us stayed about 15-20 minutes longer to talk and catch up before leaving. At this point, it was about 6:30 and the restaurant did not close until 9pm. About 8 minutes after everyone else in the party left, the server came over to us and made a comment about us moving over to the bar if “we planned on staying and just talking.” I let him know we were planning on leaving soon and that we were just catching up for a moment longer. After this, I got up to go to the bathroom to prepare to leave and overheard our waiter telling someone that he “already told us to move to the bar and leave the table.” The waiter seemed nervous as he said this so It seems to me that management forced him to tell us to move. Please keep in mind that it was a Sunday with absolutely NO wait and about 3 hours before they closed so there was no excuse for this. There were only 3 tables around us occupied so the other 5 tables were completely empty and no one was waiting. Overall, the food and drinks are great but the service is amazingly terrible. The servers are either rude or forced to be rude by management, I can’t tell. I use to recommend this restaurant but not anymore. I don’t want to send any friends to be treated rudely for no reason. One of us had tipped almost 50% on the bill and we were still treated this way. The 2 rude experiences within a week sealed it for me that I will not return or recommend it to any more locals. 2/5.

I'm in love and definitely plan to come back to THE Mystic Grill. The food was great, we wanted to have steak so the server was kind enough to let us know when the dinner menu started and even let us take our time sightseeing while we wait. The atmosphere of course was to die for. I'm a big fan of the Vampire Diaries series so it was incredibly beautiful like I expected.

Took my wife here to see some of the filming locations in mystic grill from the vampire diaries. Great restaurant with great staff and food! Lots of memorabilia from the shows on the wall and in the gift shop in the basement. A must stop when you're in Covington. The clock tower burger was ?.

This place is a MUST SEE & EAT! The entire staff is amazing and the management are amazing as well. Not only is the a local iconic film place for the famous Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias but the food is AMAZING. Every dish at this location is done with perfection. The view on the rooftop is breathtaking. This restaurant is in a small town and it is just beautiful to visit. If you are a fan of the shows that have been film there, you must go and visit. They even have a shop called the Alley which is underneath the restaurant and if you take your receipt that you ate at upstairs you get a discount of the merch they have from the show that have been filmed there. The owner Ms. Angie even owns both replicas of the cars used on the Vampire Diaries and at times she brings them to the Mystic Grill so fans can take pictures in front of it. My first time I went there I ate the Pork Chop with Sweet Potatoes and Collards greens. I never had Collard greens and I was afraid to eat because I wasn't sure if I would like it but I almost licked the plate it was so good. lol They even have a Museum in the Alley shop. I think I have said enough for you to check them out. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. For some reason I can't post pictures but if you search Google you will find a lot of pictures of the location.Parking: If you go when there isn't a filming going on or a Convention, you can park either in the front by the square or behind the Mystic Grill.

Way overhyped, waaayyyy too expensive for the quality of food, just eh. $45 for one plate plus a 20% tip automatic. No bread, no salads, drinks extra and extra costs for substitutions. We could have went to a 5 star restaurant for this cost. They wouldn't substitute fries on a kids meal even when we asked to purchase a side of fries on the side, they said the fries only came with the hot dog and my child does not eat meat. The manager did bring my daughter fruit due to the lack of substitutions offered and I appreciated that. But My mother's steak was raw, they took it back to the kitchen, threw it on the grill bringing back the same steak and the same manager seemed annoyed with us that the steak was RAW. Mashed Potatoes were bland, charged substitutions incorrectly. Would never recommend. The gift shop below was disappointing, bunch of cheap stuff marked up 10 times the cost.
