RL's is the best place to eat on the square in Covington! The food is very tasty and the quality is consistently superior. I would highly recommend it especially if you want something a little bit different.

The food here is exceptional! My husband is from Louisiana and we continually look for good Cajun cuisine! Go to RL’s off the Square! So delicious! And our waitress, Jazzmin was superb! We drove an hour to try out this cajun food and were not disappointed!

This was our First time dining experience celebrating 31 years Wedding Anniversary. We are hooked our food was absolutely delicious. Seasoned to perfection. Nice size portions. Servers were on point and courteous. I’ll definitely try your desserts during our next visit.

R L's formerly had great Red River Soup, but either they had a change in chef (doubt it) or the chef has altered the ingredients in the soup - it is not a good as it had been a year ago. The steak is good, as is all of the other items on the menu. I believe with all the times we have eaten there, we have probably eaten each item they offer.

OMG! I ordered a cup of spicy gumbo and the Wednesday special - blackened grouper with veggies and risotto. The food was great. Very flavorful! Will definitely return to taste more of their entrees.
Best Cajun food in Mcdonough. Feels like a place I would eat at in New Orleans or something

The food was tasty. The steak was tough. The shrimp was amazing.On the down side. There was a young lady there named Jazz, I think is the manager, would bring food out and flip her braids out of the way and then touch folks plates. Beautiful Jazz, please pull your braids back so that you do not have to touch them.I know the floor was a mess from the previous family but please get a Hoki sweeper and DO NOT PULL OUT THE VACUUM CLEANER.Fine Dining ruined ?

Love RL's! Never disappointed. Had the Seafood Bisque & Tilapia Specials tonight. OMG! Both were awesome. I was sold when I heard Tilapia blackened over fried green tomatoes with RL's greens and a scrumptious sauce I can't remember the name of (but I asked for extra!).

Really great food and atmosphere here! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the atmosphere and asthetics. It has an older, run down look inside. The look definitely doesn't match the food. I heard they used to have linen table clothes and candles, but it has a simple cafe look with a bar on one side and plain tables and chairs setting on the other with some booths.The ladies serving us did a good job though. My wife had the grouper special which she really enjoyed and the servings were generous. I had the two crusted chicken breasts and they were flavorful and the portion generous as well. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for the food but want to prepare you a bit for the simple non-elegant environment. We'll definitely go back though!
