Unacceptable Customer Service and Lack of Basic Acknowledgment
My first visit was three weeks ago. I stood at the window for 10 minutes without acknowledgment while the employee stood at the register taking a phone order. I gave the benefit of the doubt. It was a Friday, several people were waiting for pickups, and I assumed she was just busy. I spent about $65, the food was decent, and I decided I would try again when I was back in the area.
I returned today (Friday) around 4:50 PM. There were only one or two cars waiting. The same employee was again at the window taking a phone order. I waited patiently. She finished the call and immediately assisted someone who walked up after me for a pickup. Another person arrived and she handed them their order as well. At no point was I acknowledged, despite clearly standing there first.
Another employee entered the door and came to help. That same employee asked the newer employee to take the phone order that had come in while I was standing there. Still no acknowledgment to the customer wanting to order in front of you at the window.
After 11 minutes, I finally asked, “Are you taking orders from this window?” The newer employee asked the original staff member whether my order had been taken. Only then, as I was turning to walk back to my car, did she say, “I’ll be with you in just a moment, ma’am.”
Eleven minutes to acknowledge a customer standing directly at the window.
I understand that both phone orders and walk-ups are important to business. But ignoring an in-person customer in favor of answering calls sends a clear message about priorities. Phone calls can be placed on hold. The line in front of you should always come first. That is basic customer service.
One thing is clear, if you cannot acknowledge me within the first 1-5 minutes of me coming to your business to spend my money, you most certainly don’t deserve it.
And in my professional experience of having my own business, I want to secure the order and payment from all customers that show interest. No way I’d leave any of my customers unacknowledged for that period of time as you stand there 2 feet apart.
A simple acknowledgment and common courtesy would have gone a long way in shaping a very different customer experience.
I will not be returning. But I sure hope you all learn to do better for the next customer or find someone else to man the window that understands the basics of customer service.

Rudyboo's has been in Covington for decades my family often ordered from here when I was a kid. I ordered for myself and my boyfriend. The order took about 15 minutes and the cashier/cook was very friendly. We both ordered wings mine were boneless. The wings were delicious and hot. We were also offered a complimentary water. A+!

My cousin referred this place. I ordered 10 wings (hot) w/blue cheese. The order took about 12 -15 minutes. They were very good. Fresh and hot. I will definitely go back again!! I was pleased with the food and the service.

Ordered 50 wings at 11am in the morning, to be ready for 7pm that evening. Got there at 7pm, only to have to stand there waiting for another 20 minutes, which I was trying to avoid. Order 25 medium/ 25 hot Got 25 bland and 25 mild. Reviews for this place were excellent. They must have been out there from employees.
Wait was 45 minutes. I've had much better wings, I won't be back..Wings were small and didn't taste great.

The food is good but I don't like that they charge for extra seasoning when the extra seasoning amount should be the initial seasoning amount, the initial seasoning amount is so sparse you can't even taste it when you get lemon pepper. Also, I ordered 30 wings, one of them all flash but they could only do 20 all flats and charged me for two all flat fees when I only received five extra flats in the second batch since they could only do 20.

Came to Rudyboo’s last night for the first time ever and oh my goodness!! I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else now! The food was amazing!! Wings were great, fries were to die for and the celery was fresh! I think I found my new favorite wing shop!!
