The service was poor and the food was worse. The food was barely warm. A cold squate of cornbread .tea overpriced and way too sweet.

I use to love this place went recently had county fried steak and 3 vegetables the vegetables were really bland and the steak was just average very small the portions were very small compared to the price service was fair

This was our first time to the restaurant. It was totally not busy when we got there. They sat us in the bar area. Wait staff was not friendly. Even when we told them we have never been here, they suggested nothing. Again, it wasn't busy and it took forever to get our drinks. The fish we got looked awesome - deep fried and yummy. However, the inside was slimy. The shrimp and crab cakes were ok. Wait staff came to our table twice. To take the order and deliver the food. We had to stop others to get a drink refill. And then nothing was said when we didn't finish our food. Definitely not one of the better restaurants we have been to in the area.

I always enjoy my lunch here.... this Sunday the chicken livers were perfect and they had coconut buttermilk pie for a dessert choice and man that is so good!! Also recommend their chicken tenders

One of our favorite restaurants.. the filet is terrific. Butcher block is a good choice when you are on Budget. Service is usually ok, but don't expect too much from the good ole boys unless you're local.

Service couldn’t have been better! Food was fantastic for even 2 picky kids. Steaks were good. Daughter loved the honey mustard. Placecould definitely use some remodeling, but don’t let the look steer you away.
We did not get it, but wish we did. The seafood looked amazing a couple next to us at the captains platter with fried fish and shrimp

We both had a wonderful lunch. I had the Turk sandwich, and my Woman had the grilled whitefish. Service was quick, the food excellent, and - wait for it - the check was very reasonable. In today's world of delivering less and charging more, this was awesome!

This place has gone way downhill. The restaurant smells bad of musty damp carpet and mold. I’m pretty sure Jim Stalvey can afford to remove that nasty carpet and make the entrance handicap accessible. The entrance and seating are not wheelchair friendly!
The service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress took our order, brought our drinks (no refills during dinner) and that was the last we saw of her until we were ready to leave; that’s when we got a refill to-go. I believe if you’re going to charge $3 for a glass of tea you should get more than one cup. I can get a gallon at Ingles for that price. Someone else brought us our food. The hamburger steak was good but the baked potato wasn’t. I don’t believe we will ever go back.
