The Pig Out Memphis Style BBQ

I ordered online for pickup but it kept increasing the pick up time, until it was 2 hours after placing the order. I got suspicious and went to the store itself to find out the store is out of business. When I returned, it said the order is completed and took my money, with no way of asking for a refund because they don't use third parties like Doordash. Their listed phone number is offline as well. Scam, they will take your money without even having a store. DO NOT ORDER HERE

Great customer service clean and very delicious

I pray this BBQ spot gets organized and is able to serve their customers in a timely manner. I called in to order at 6:27pm and was told to come in at 7pm and that my food order would be ready. I'm not even trippin' about calling and them being out of many items on the menu, perhaps it was a busy day. However, after sitting in the lobby and watching 3 families come in and order at the counter walk out with their food before me, I'm outraged. Mind you, while waiting, the cashier is placing orders for food they've already ran out of and asking if anyone wants to substitute. "We're all family" she says, "I know you ordered it first, but he paid for it first and unfortunately that was our last one so what do yall want to do?" This was her approach to the last bratwurst and we had the same issue with cole slaw. The cashier kept mentioning this being a big order as I keep seeing other customers come and go, but I barely consider 3 sandwiches and a 1/4 rib a big order ??‍♀️ This type of customer service is unacceptable. I finally received my food at 7:40pm. This was my first and unfortunately, my last time coming in to dine at The Pig Out in Covington, GA.

The ribs are great both signature and original. They are cooked a perfect done. The coleslaw is unique and divine, the beans are excellent as is the potato salad. This is top tier Memphis BBQ and I thank you Sir.

We were highly disappointed in this place. Reviews didn’t match our experience. The portions of the sides were ridiculous for the price. I felt like everything I ate came straight from the grocery store. Wasn’t worth it. I hear the place down the road it much better. This place needs some tlc and some better decor. Not clean or comfy atmosphere.

Post owner response: It most definitely was your location and I stand by my review. Not sure why you would recall having me there… I see other reviews saying the same thing that you used food that tastes straight from a can and I 100% agree. I’m no troll account!!!

I realize that this is a BBQ place not a soul food place, but CANNED COLLARD GREENS that taste like they were seasoned with a 5lb bag of sugar, Potato salad had under cooked potato's and super sweet as well. Signature ribs were cooked very well the smoke ring was perfect; however it was under seasoned and the sauce was watery. I wanted to love this place because its black owned. But please if you're going to represent Memphis and black ownership cook the greens and potato salad like your grandma and auntie serve on Sundays after church. Or take it off the menu and serve beans and slaw like a basic BBq place. I also know as a business owner we can't please everyone, but I KNOW this is not your BEST especially not canned collard greens. You set out to give people good food and make your dream come true. Stay true to yourself and your product.

Food was ok. They were out of 3 of the items we ordered but failed to tell us they were out of them, they just brought different food without communicating. No soap or paper towels in bathroom.

11 out of 10! Finally, authentic BBQ and the best I've had in a long time! This hidden gem was absolutely delicious, my sandwich was packed with meat and the sides were so fresh, I enjoyed every single bite of my food!

This was the worst bbq I ever had

Absolutely not the best food did not enjoy. Mac n cheese over cooked and bland. The ribs tips were burnt and fatty no actual meat and they tasted freezer burned. I’ve had better bbq at Shane’s rib shack. What happened to serving fresh quality food that customers pay for and could enjoy. A waste of $16 for trash. I don’t know how businesses thrive on serving subpar food to the people that try to support especially small businesses.
