Stopped in while traveling for lunch. Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent!! Had country style steak with rice & gravy and fried okra. It reminded me so much of my grandmothers home cooking.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I have been here twice visiting Covington. Its been open since the 1960s I think and pretty sure the same family still runs it. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful and funny. The food was amazing both times I went.... so good I cleaned my plate before I remembered to take a pic. I have had lunch and breakfast and recommend both. Definitely a must try and will be back next time im in town!

I would share a picture of the grilled bacon and cheese, but I didn't realize how amazing it was going to be. Hands down the BEST grilled sandwich I've ever had. Great service! Amazing food!!

The food is always great. Excellent wait staff but I feel they are always understaffed. If you’re in a hurry or have somewhere to be then this might now be the best option. Expect to wait 30 min to an hour for your food.
First time here with our girls. The service was very good, I ordered the chicken with grits and eggs. Best eggs I have ever had and the chicken was juicy, tasty, and crispy. My husband was disappointed that the steak wasn’t actually a steak, but he said it was really good. We loved the country atmosphere.

This was my first and last time coming. The grits were not done. I asked to swap out for hash browns and the server never brought it out. The service was horrible and the server was very rude. She never came back to check if we needed anything or offered a refill. The server was being very rude and disrespectful to other guest. I was not pleased and will not come back again!!

We have tried to eat here several times. Every time there is a long wait. After the 3rd time of still not getting seated even after waiting is extremely disappointing. I guess I have to call in order to get the carry out option?
