This is the worst meal I have had in a very long time! My husband and I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday. There was only one couple at a table and the service was terrible not to mention the food. He ordered the fried shrimp. The order called for 8 but he only received 5. The shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. I ordered the coffee ribeye with a sweet potato. The steak was decent but the sweet potato was tasteless and old. We will not be going back.
Great place to go the bartenders are very nice and the owner is a great guy
Pardon my French but.....what a f'ing dump. We went in at 6:30pm on a warm and sunny June evening and the place was a ghost town....except for a small pack of gutter rats at the bar and the host/owner eating with his gf/wife. It was seriously like walking into an alternate universe where really bad things are considered good and all the decor was from the Reagan administration. And ooh ooh that smell... Can you smell that smell? The smell of deaths surrounds you!! It smelled like the Cobra Kai of cigarettes judy chopped you in the face as soon as you open the doors. It is the worst cigarette smell I have ever experienced... and I'm a former smoker and have played music in hundreds of bars in my time. Buy a glade plug-in for the love of all that is holy!!! I didn't even want to sit on the furniture. The chairs had ash stains and cigarette burns. Yuck, man. How does this place make any money?!? Seriously... I want to see tax records because I cannot believe this place is financially sound. The waitresses were clearly on meth judging from their erratic behavior and were possibly prostitutes. Not certain on that though because we didn't stay long enough to even take a sip of our drinks, let alone get handjobs. I can't say enough how terrible this place is. I've been in a lot of bars/taverns and this is probably the worst. We left before ordering our food because I wasn't about to eat a steak from this place. The host/owner was sitting down eating at a table when we came in and he got up with a mouth full of food to seat us in a hurry.. like he couldn't believe he had customers. ...I can't believe you almost had customers either....The worst. Do not go here. The City of Cumming needs to do something about this place. Not a good representation of our town.
This is a good place to...smoke a cigarette. Don't go here to eat, because the food is terrible. Server was kind, but I went there to get a steak, and thought I stepped into 1983 at Western Sizzler's. Did I mention the place smells like smoke?
Nice and helpful waitresses. The DJ's are on point! Everyone is very nice and the food is really good! :)
Waitress was nice the place needs to be freshened up a bit stained ceiling tiles. The smoke smell needs to be delt. They need to work on their food if you are going to say something is your specialty then it should be exstreamly well done, not just average. Waitress answered my questions and was friendly. They should deside if they want to be a bar or restaraunt because i was confused with the atmastpher of the sail boat and italy pictures and the country bar look.
Stopped in yesterday with 3 others for steak. Walked in and left in less than a minute. Smoke was horrible. There didn't seem to be any ventilation. Can't rate food, but air quality was very bad. Was really looking forward to trying this place. Won't happen. You really only get once to make a good impression. So sad
Well, I can't offer a review of the food because I never made it through the door to be seated at an actual table. The smoke smell immediately hits you like a brick when you walk through the front door. For a moment, you question what you're experiencing, "like what's that smell, wait, it's 2018...." This place should not be marketed as a restaurant; it's straight up a bar. And if you don't want a cigarette ashes taste with your meal, I wouldn't advise dining here. We were all excited to try it after living in the area for a year, but quickly realized we weren't missing anything. We went next door and had a great meal. If you are a smoker, then this is likely 5-stars for you. For the rest of us non-smokers, it's barely a 1-star.
Nothing good to say about this place really. I came here for a friends birthday dinner and it was a lackluster experience to say the least. It took us thirty minutes to get our drinks and beers after ordering them. The food was not even remotely decent. I ordered the wings and fries. The wings were overcooked and extremely small and the fries were lukewarm at best. The best part was probably the celery and carrots. On top of that the restaurant allows smoking so it smelled like cigarettes throughout the whole place. I could smell it on all my clothes and hair when I got home. At the end of the night when we were trying to pay for our food it got ten times worse...it 30 minutes just to get our checks. One of our guests in our party had to track down our waitress just to get our checks. After I paid she did not get give me my card back so I had to wait another 20 minutes just to get it back. Overall this experience was enough for me to say I won't be returning.
I've been a regular here for many years. You have to enjoy a certain vibe to have a good time here. There is a very homey and Southern feel, and if you're good to the bartenders and servers they'll be good to you. They have trivia every Tuesday night, and they have AWESOME karaoke Wednesday through Saturday in the evening. There are many regulars here, so expect people to be outgoing and loud. Also expect the music in the evenings to be loud. You're able to smoke at or near the bar all day, and you're able to smoke in the dining area starting at 10 p.m., so if you don't want to go home smelling like smoke this is not the place for you. But I love it.

Karaoke night is ok. Nice selection of songs but was not to enthusiastic of a crowd. The food was ok, not to bad, not too good. I would almost call it meh if that were possible. Waitress was nice and attentive that was a plus and for that we are always happy to see.
I seriously have no idea how this place survives financially or how they are still open. They have been here over 15 years and never have delivered anything good. They seriously need Bar Rescue!
Our first time eating here in several years....Wow! what a difference...not in a good way either. It used to be more of a "fine dining" experience. White table cloths and all that stuff. Now it is nothing more than a sports bar. Their sign outside still says Austin's Steak & Seafood but the menu now says Austin's Tavern. The first thing you will notice when you walk in is the smoke odor. Everyone sitting around the bar smoking and drinking. I almost turned and left. We asked to be sat as far away as possible. The food is good but I just couldn't get over the fact they allow smoking like that. There isn't even a separate bar area it's really all one big room. Sad to say but b/c of the smoke we will NOT be returning.
I have been travelling in and out of the area for a number of months and did not come to this local establishment until tonight. Walking in it was like a scene out of Cheers with all customers huddled around the bar. Since I must work this evening I did not partake in a drink. I ordered a ribeye, loaded potato and salad and all was good with the exception of shredded carrots on my salad. Music was good and a friendly place with trivia night on Tuesday and karaoke on Weds thru Sat. Breanna was my server and did a great job. Monday was pretty quiet so I may have found a place to relax and work. This place has potential. Have a great night.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch, because he wanted a steak and Texas Roadhouse was closed. Other than several people at the bar, the place was empty. After getting over the noticeable smoke smell (smoking is allowed at the bar), we picked a small table near the dance floor. The place has some wear and tear, but was clean. The bartender doubled as our server. She was very courteous and knowledgeable when we asked questions about the menu. She quickly brought us bread with butter and our drinks. My husband had a steak and I had the Swiss & mushroom burger. Both were very good. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
