It's a shame i've been going to big d's for years but lately it just sucks. I went today to pick up an order.And they just handed me my food , no bag , Kind of ignorant and lazy.I ended up dropping one.Because how are you supposed to hold breakfast sandwiches?I should have asked for a bag but I was so annoyed.I thought I'd get really nasty in the store.So I just left needless to say this will be my last trip.It's was great but you went to corporate.

I've eaten here several times over the past 4 years and had a good food with spotty service. Today was disappointing. The sliced brisket was so dry it was halfway to beef jerky and the green beans were unseasonably, mushy, and flavorless. Seems like each time I visit this place it gets worse. Last time for me here.

This is by far the worst ribs we’ve ever had. They were so dry and flavorless. We are new here and hubby wanted BBQ. What a disappointment. First, the lobby area could use a deep cleaning. The floors need a heavy duty scrubber to take out all the dirt on the stones. Did not go past the lobby area. The ladies were nice but the initial lady didn’t know if the ribs were beef or pork. Seemed like a normal question. Asked for a sample of the Mac and cheese, and the guy behind the wall stated “Mac and cheese is Mac and Cheese”. Sorry, this isn’t true. BTW, this Mac and cheese was nasty. The noodles were over cooked and the cheese tastes synthetic. And it was absolutely flavorless. We have to ribs to the dogs. They were not made for human consumption. Blew over $40 on this. We will not return.

It was our first time here, i order 3 rack ribs & my hubby has a pulled chicken bbq sandwich,my ribs were very dry and unflavored,it taste like it was cooked a few days ago it did not taste fresh at all! Pulled chicken was also dry and missing a lot of flavor, very bland, service was really good but food wasn’t?? they have a lot of different sauces on the table,believe me you gonna need it?

So disappointed! Our pint of stew was completely let out of our pick-up order. Additionally, the sliced brisket was tough and flavorless, the fries were tiny pieces & overcooked. We ordered at JD’s for the Brunswick stew that unfortunately the other closer, better reviewed (and less expensive ) bbq restaurants don’t have. One positive was the cheerful person who took the order and answered the phone when we called about the missing stew. She’s supposed to refund the $10 for the stew, hopefully that and the tip for takeout will be refunded! We’ll see. Regardless such ,bad experience and no dinner for one of us. Frankly tge entire meal should be comped.

My wife and I ordered the exact same thing her pulled pork was Normal size and mine had 1/3 the amount of meat when I told the waitress she basically said oh sorry. I said get the manager , manager wasn’t even old enough to serve me a beer and basically said to bad , offered nothing to make amends . Won’t be back and further more I make better BBQ

This is for the big D’s at Lakewood 400 antique fair. The hotdog is a small hotdog for a big prize and the chicken salad should be more labeled mayonnaise with small pieces of chicken.
