The staff was great, but the food didn’t match the service. Chips were greasy/oily and the meal was mediocre overall. Disappointing.

Breaks my heart to do this after being a huge fan of this place over the years, but at this point I dont really see how they are still in business. Went on a Saturday night, only one other couple at the bar. Bartender, when he finally acknowledged us, acted like it was annoying that we were even there. Served us $10 margaritas in a plastic urine sample cup. Had to leave cash because he never looked our way again. Owners and management have clearly given up, so sad.

I'm honestly shocked that they've stayed in business. Our service was really slow and they weren't even busy. The bus boy was the only person who seemed to act with any purpose. The food was mediocre at best.
The beer was cheap and made it easlier to get the food down, so I'll give them a star for that. The chips were ok, but, c'mon... If they can't get those right, they might as well just give up completely.
World a metal roof and concrete floors, the indoor patio is a cross between a Faraday cage and an echo chamber, where they intentionally group families wish rambunctious children. The resulting noise requires talking at 3rd bloody Mary at a packed brunch-level in order to communicate more than one person away. And the lack of a phone signal due to the metal cage construction means you're not surfing to pass time and will have to suffer with the rest of us until they being the check.

Excellent Mexican restaurant. My group enjoyed margaritas, nojitos, queso, Baja fish tacos, and an apple tart dessert. We sat outside and enjoyed fabulous food next to the courtyard. Service from Ana was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious. We will be back.

Food very mediocre. Enchiladas with no rice, unsalted black beans, bland corn. No taste. Margarita without any decoration as the menu picture, chicken on salad so dry. Never again.
Came for lunch. Service acted annoyed and disintetested. Very slow to refill drinks and place was empty. Said 3 words “drink” ready to order? Won’t be back- food was meh

I’ve read the other reviews and I can agree with just about all of the ones that say that this place used to be amazing and that due mostly to poor service and inattentive service, has really gone down. We used to come here years ago and loved it. The food used to be awesome as well and today had a very overcooked chicken breast. I would have brought it up while there but no one even came over to ask how our food was. So because food prices have gone so high over the last couple of years, we choose not to spend our heard earned money at a place that used to be great and has clearly given up on any semblance of pride in their restaurant. Like the other reviews I feel that their days are most likely numbered.

We’ve been loyal customers of Cinco for a long time and have always enjoyed the food, but our recent experience was extremely disappointing and has completely changed our view of this location.
On August 1st, we had the worst service we’ve ever encountered here. Our waiter was incredibly rude, barely came by the table, never brought waters, and didn’t replenish the chips — something that’s always been standard. We had to literally hunt down the bartender just to get some help.
It’s clear there’s a serious management issue at this location. The lack of staff oversight and professionalism was obvious, and honestly, unacceptable. For a Friday night, the restaurant was nearly empty — which says a lot.
Sadly, we will not be returning. It’s frustrating to see a place we once loved fall apart like this.

Point of story: Restaurant stole from us. Called ahead of time to make sure they had live music and was told they did, arrived and they did not have live music. Annoying, but whatever. Get seated and our waiter took 10 minutes to take our drink order and greet us. We order our drinks and a cheese dip and our food since it took so long to be greeted and then we are never approached by our server again for 15 minutes. I then get up and flag them down to get our drinks and ask about the cheese dip, then he brings our drinks out. Another 20 minutes go by and we still didn't get our cheese dip so i was trying to find our server to just cancel the order but couldn't find him. Another 10 minutes go by and cheese dip and our food comes out. Everything was very subpar and lukewarm, so had been sitting out for some time. With this experience i told my husband to not tip, so we put $0 tip. We now check our bank statement as it has posted and see our $60 meal turned into a $100 total posted charge.
So not only is the service terrible, but they are theifs as well.

Seemed like a nice place, wanted to stop somewhere for a drink before going to deal with my grandfathers funeral arrangements and the reviews were good about the bartenders. Today, those bartenders must not have been on shift. I was there for 15 mins at an empty bar, ordered my drink, and never got it. A lady came in after me and ordered a glass of wine and he poured it immediately. Didn’t think anything of it, server the lady first for sure. Then he disappears again, came back as I was walking out and asked the lady if she wanted her check with one single word to me. I understand the flow of restaurants better than most considering I’ve grown up in them, and communication goes a long way. Whether he had tables to tend too or needed to get a bottle to make my drink, I would have waited 30 mins if I had some sort of acknowledgment. The manager seemed very helpful and I should have stopped to communicate my problems but I chose to walk away because I wasn’t confident that my frustration wouldn’t interfere with my point. Anyways I walked over to Branchwater and got my drink immediately. Highly recommend as your first stop unless you want tacos
