Old Harbor Seafood Kitchen

So firstly, let me say that the most important thing in a restaurant in my opinion is the food, and on that particular note the Old Harbor is darn near perfect. Everything tasted excellent and was well seasoned.

However, definitely get your food to go. Unfortunately, the dine in experience needs work.

For a seafood restaurant specializing in crab, the fact they didn't have seafood crackers is insane. When I asked, I was given a random pair of scissors and told to use the middle bit. I dont know where these scissors came from, how they were used, or if they had been clean, yet it was my only option for eating my meal. In fact, I had to give up my scissors because a family with children came in and needed them, and there is only one pair of scissors in the building. It was immensely confusing and frankly just not acceptable.

And this place needs more cleanliness. I had to wipe down my table multiple times just to try to stop my drink from sticking to the table. The staff just sort of watched me cleaning. Ive run restaurants for years, and it's these small details that make the difference. I don't think it's very visible but here is a pic of the dirtiness of the table beside us.

Owners, give your establishment the same love you give your food and you will get 5 stars every time.

The food here was super tasty and reasonably priced! My only complaint was the fact that y'all serve crab legs, but didn't have the crackers or the mini fork to be able to get the meat out. It was extremely frustrating to have to fight so hard to eat almost $20 crab legs. Also the soap dispenser in the ladies room wasn't working.. I have a newborn and wasn't able to wash off the spicy sauce from my hands so I was a bit upset about that.. if these problems are resolved we would be happy to come back, otherwise we'll pay the extra money to have a better experience.

I come here at least once a week! They have the best flavor of seafood boil, not too sweet like others. I hope they never change the recipe. Plus it’s so affordable!

Found this place while searching for seafood near us. What a great surprise. I had the shrimp and sausage and it was so good, and a lot of food (.5 lbs of each). It was basically a low country boil in a bag - so much shrimp! Great value as well across the menu. We’ll definitely be back.

Cool little spot just off the beaten path. Small menu makes for freshly cooked food without drowning in decisions.
