Went to meet a friend to catch up. Food was quite over priced, under portioned and service was not too bad. Nobody there when we arrived and now I understand. I am a lover of great barbecue but unfortunately this is not the place for me.

Nice enough people and easy to grab before hitting the lake, but I can not recommend the food. The BBQ sauce is tomato based and not good imo. The mustard "Carolina" sauce was thicker than mustard. The Mac and cheese was crusty and too spicy to share with a child. It's expensive for dried out meat and unsatisfying flavors.

Our first time this weekend. We shared a pound of ribs that were extremely tender. Excellent Mac & Cheese with a little kick. Four cheeses and I'll let you ask the owner about the secret to the kick. Donna said the Mac & Cheese was the best ever. And we had Southwest Street Corn. Very flavorful.Ambience? It's a lake dive, seating inside and out.The food is excellent. We'll be back.

Just got off the lake and made a first visit to this restaurant. It is quite small in the inside, but they do have some outside tables as well.I ordered the pulled pork with a sides of mac & cheese and potato salad. The pork was good yet not great and they offer three homemade sauces, all of them were pretty good. The mac & cheese was good, but I didn't care for the potato salad as It lacked flavor and the chunks of potato were fairly large.They have a full bar and also some craft drafts. I would definitely give them another try.
Nice outside dining. Great views. On the water. BBQ was dry. Nice service.

Great food! Had a brisket sandwich, potato salad and macaroni and cheese with a peach slushy. The homemade bbq sauces are some of the best flavored sauces I’ve ever had, and paired incredible with the blackened crust on the brisket and juicy fatty edges. Both sides were incredible and the peach drink was fresh and strong. The owner was very friendly and it shows he cares about the food he makes and the experience he gives to customers. Coming back every week ?

The best bbq place in the area! Everything is hand made, including bacon and bbq sauce. We had the most delicious ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Great beer and nice owner who made the whole experience amazing! Definitely we will be coming back to this place every time we get a chance.

My group of four ordered a variety of things and the Brunswick stew was the only thing anyone liked. The pulled chicken was dry, the macaroni was bland and mealy, and the thighs made the folks who ate them sick on the way home. Disappointing, because the view was beautiful.I did not originally want to comment on the service, because that’s not the restaurant’s fault necessarily. But in light of the response, here we go.The gentleman who waited on us provided service that was kind, personable, and helpful, but the waitress was rude and passive aggressive from the moment we walked in and only pretended to be kind when he was around—by being mostly silent. She was so rude one of my friends kind of did get irritated back and kind of shut down a little. Fyi I am not the one who wouldn’t look at you.As far as a chance to get us something else, I definitely didn’t want anything else you were going to serve me, as nothing at the table looked appealing in any way—the pulled chicken looked extremely dry. Maybe it was a bad day with the food, but I’ve never had such bland (not spicy at all) wings make me throw up before. I eat Indian food regularly and spice does not bother me, but I threw up on the side of the interstate on the way home.I also felt blindsided by the high score when we looked this place up and genuinely wanted to give others a heads up. This review was not meant to be personal, though I did have bad service, but if you look at my original review, it is a dispassionate review of what on its best (not making anyone physically sick day) is mediocre barbecue. I’m very sorry if that is a difficult pill to swallow.
