El Fogon Cantina & Grill

I write this as I leave the parking lot. My folks like this place and they wanted to treat my husband and I for his birthday. We have been there before and it was good..that first time. Our waitress Anna was the only great thing from our visit today. She was sweet and patient. But the workshops I ordered were not cooked well and tasted spoiled. I’m not one to send food back because I know how hard food service can be but I asked if I could exchange it for something else. The manager (by title only and I’ll get to that in a few) told me just because I didn’t like it I couldn’t send it back and if I did, I would have to pay for a new plate as well as the spoiled one. The manager then proceeded to tell me if I wanted I could call the owner myself. The waitress and I explained that as manager he should call. He called and owner said nothing could be done and I would still have to pay for both plates. To say that this experience was bad is an understatement. Anna being the amazing waitress she is was apologetic. Skip this place. Find another family owned place to eat where they take care of its customers and staff. The manager needs training as he had no idea how to proceed besides giving me the full name and number of the owner which is insane. Never again.

Service was bad. Waited 10 minutes for drinks then ordered steak chimichangas the only thing in them was steak. $75 for 3 people for that. We won't be back.

The food was absolutely horrible, the service was extremely slow. Will make sure we (my family) never returns.

I would suggest that the owners visit an actual Mexican restaurant near me to understand how the food should be prepared

Always a great family dinner night. Waitress was extremely nice and helpful. Large pineapple margarita was tasteful and strong. Food was good as usual and filling. Another good weekday outing!

The bar tender guy served me one double shot whiskey 🥃 for $19.07. The bar tender guy did not charge regular price usually $10.99 for the whiskey 🥃. The bar tender guy was very suspicious 🤨 takes my debit card on his hand to the kitchen. I had to leave to pick up my car but I will definitely come back in person to report him. I don’t care about money but I care about my personal safety. After he swiped my debit card behind the bar he then took my card to the kitchen.

We ordered Togo. In Chicken fajitas the Tortillas were not added and in the Burrito we go had aluminium scrap. We trashed the food. My kid was about to consume and I had watched it fortunately on time. I would give zero stars. This place needs inspection.
