I like this restaurant in terms of the hospitality & customer service. It screams “southern charm!” We sat outside and it was so peaceful, we felt like we were at somebody’s grandmothers house. It’s very cozy and inviting. However, the food was the complete opposite. The food came out luke warm like it was made & left sitting for a while. The shrimp and grits were extremely salty which was disappointing (I had to send it back). I highly doubt that we received freshly cracked eggs. Ironically, the rest of our meals were bland and under seasoned. Lastly, the banana pudding left much to be desired; it was just banana slices and whipped cream.

Compared to other towns in Gwinnett, i.e., Duluth, Suwanee, Norcross, etc., Dacula has very limited options for eating outside of chain restaurants. Thank goodness for Brunch Apothecary! It's been on my list, but I've only recently been able to visit. I was not disappointed. I had the chicken enchalada special, which is not on the menu, and was much more than I could eat. There was a bit of a wait, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly and well-served we were after being seated. My only very small complaint is the whipped coffee, which I think could use more coffee and less other stuff, but that could be just my palate.

Eggs were okay (scrambled and cooked a little too "hard") and the hashbrown casserole was very good, but the star of the the meal was the biscuit! Light and fluffy with a good buttermilk flavor. Great service, too. Definitely will return!

Update: We've been back a lot, and everything has been wonderful! Service is above reproach!! Such friendly and efficient people!
