The absolutely greatest thing about Anansi is the music that can often take you to the best places sonically. I’m a music head so I can’t say enough about that.

Now…layer on an atmosphere that provides an endless amount of things to catch your eye and it feels cozy at the same time 😌.

And if both of those things weren’t enough, the DRINKS!!! 🤩 are delivered wrapped in phenomenal service and craftsmanship.

If you found this gem of a bar, then consider yourself to be one of the lucky ones. Great spot! 10/10 highly recommend lol

Looking for sultry speak easy vibes? This is the place for it. Great music. Great drinks. Wonderful service. The decor really gives it that sexy feel. Great for first dates and frisky meet ups. Very small space but it also has an Outdoor patio.

So last night for my friends birthday we went to this establishment and the way we were treated from outside to the time we ordered our drinks caused us to walk out with experiencing the craft cocktail experience.

I wanted to believe it was not racial profiling because every person in there was black! But it was just uncomfortable. The breaking point was when the door guy refused to let our lady friend inside for the sake of “holding the line” to let the establishment look packed from the outside…

Between the door man making us feel unwelcomed to the servers poor attitude. I’m not sure they will see my money here again!

A hidden gem nestled in Avondale estate, the atmosphere 10/10, the server, and all the staff including the door man 0/10. Which isn’t surprising as the owner never made his way to our table after we asked to speak to a manager. The sour attitudes and unprofessionalism was at an all time high. Supporting black business is so hard.

I’m always excited to trying new places.. I was looking forward to trying this place since I heard about how cute it was and how delicious the drinks were but unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience at all… from the security outside to the manager it was horrible!!! I don’t believe in spending my money where I’m not welcome…

Took 10 of my friends here for my bday and was extremely disappointed and felt unappreciated.
Upon arrival, the security outside was very rude and told us to sit outside because there was no space inside. We took a look inside and realized we could fit so we went in.
One my friends arrived 20 mins later and they wouldn't let in. We ask to speak to a manager and he never came but he looked at us with hate in his eyes.
To be honest, we felt like we weren't welcomed and our $$ weren't appreciated.
We decided to leave and at no point did the owner or the waitress ask why we were leaving.
As someone who owns 3 restaurants, I was extremely disappointed.

TRIED TO SUPPORT MY PEOPLE BUT THIS IS WHY ID RATHER GO TO MIDTOWN AT A MORE WELCOMING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. MY PLUS ONE FORGOT THEIR ID BUT HAD IT IN THEIR PHONE AND OWNER REFUSED US THE FIRST TIME WHICH WAS UNDERSTANDABLE BUT ONCE WE GOT BACK WE HAD OUR I.D , THERE WAS A SECURITY GAURD SITTING WITH OWNER AND STARRED AT MY I.D FOR LONGER THAN USUAL (I AM 42) COMING IN WAS AWKWARDLY STRANGE THE VIBE WAS OFF FROM THE DOOR, SITS DOWN TO ORDER AND IM TAKING PICTURES OF MYSELF AND MY DRINK , THE OVERWEIGHT SECURITY GAURD AGGRESSIVELY SAYS NO PICTURES! WITH YOUR FLASH ON ! THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR PICTURE TAKERS? AND SIR GET YOUR BIG AGGRESSIVE SELF FROM OVER ME ABOUT A PICTURE ! DONT COME HERE IF YOUR A PICTURE PERSON. PLACE IS VERY SMALL , WILL NOT BE BACK AND I WILL BE POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO WARN OTHERS

First time there last night for a night cap date. We love the atmosphere and the decor is breathtaking. So many drink options. which is great. I look forward to returning in the future. I'll try the bar snacks next visit. Thank you for great customer service and the experience.

Food this place after leaving birthday dinner and wanted a downtime of nice vibes and cocktail. This place was on the listing with great reviews. The lights are very low (like a red light special type) with a 1960 feeling movie like. I ordered season chips $5 (small portion not worth it). I ordered a lemon drop one ingredient in was not use to as It threw my taste bud off; however it was not bad. I wouldn't order again.

I will be back as a nice chill vibe.

First let’s start with how grown and sexy this spot is. Anansi has become one of my favorite spots where I don’t have to drive into the city for good drinks, good vibes and great service. The bar tenders are always so helpful and the music is a vibe.

This was my first and last time visiting. I went on a Saturday night with a couple friends and it was surprisingly empty. The atmosphere was the best thing about this place, the decor is amazing. However, our waitress seemed to have an attitude the entire time, she never checked on us although we were there for a couple hours and the place is the very small. To our surprise there was a 20% gratuity added to our tab for one round of cocktails! We were also overcharged for drinks that pretty much tasted like juice. I had high hopes for this place, but definitely won’t be returning.
