I really wanted to like this place after watching an old episode of Atlanta Eats.Seems the pizza is the star here. I ordered the Pastitsio that came a piece of Spanakopita. Pastitsio was beyond bland - absolutely zero taste. Spanakopita tasted great but the filo crust was soggy with zero crunch.Sorely disappointed. The pizza my other half ordered was nice though so seems you should be good if you stick to the pizza.

Amazing pizza. It tastes like it may be seasoned. I think I ordered the Athens pizza, no onions, and add spinach. I didn't even want to share it with my family! I absolutely love Athens pizza! This is the best pizza in the city!

This place has amazing pizza. A bit more expensive but you get the best in the area. We have been ordering pizza here for over a decade and rarely have been disappointed, it’s just good.If you think the fantastic quality of their pizza translates into excellent gyros or Greek food…no, just no. For the love of all that is holy stick to pizza from here. Their gyros or gyro plates are so, so sad. Ordered a gyro and a gyro plate. Gyro plate was flavorless gyro meat piled on soggy fries with two slices of bland tomatoes crying in the corner.For gyros or genuine Greek food that is phenomenal, drive around the corner to Mediterranean Grill. Less money and absolutely incredible gyros and other food. So good.I threw the gyro plate from Athens straight in the trash. Photo below is pre trashcan disposal.
It's just not the same. I've been coming here since the early '90's and over the last decade, the service & atmosphere just don't have the same vibe. There was nothing "wrong" per se, but there also wasn't anything that made me want to go back.

The server wasn't interested in serving me nor my guest. Neither was she trying to assist with choosing menu options since this was my 1st time dining at Athens Pizza. She rarely came to check on us and hurriedly asked were we ready to order. Just poor taste all around and bad experience here.

Only giving a 1 star because I have to in order to post. I placed over a $100 order through ezcater and it was rejected by Athens Pizza on the sole reason that their menu was not up to date. I ordered pizza and wings from Athens PIZZA . My pizza was generic as well. If they have stopped carrying cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and veggies then I don't see them staying in business. They lost a huge order and a customer because of an out of date menu. Really sad in my opinion.
