this place has been my recent go to! the prices are not too crazy and i love the vibes. However there is no sign that reads the WiFi password at all, and the past three times I visit i would have to stand in the long line to ask for the password and then they will very quickly inform you of it and so far each time the password i enter has been wrong even though i typd in correctly, and the last time i visited i came with a friend and we both type i the password of what we thought we heard just to keep getting the same error message. the service in the cafe is really bad and they should make the wifi more accesbile to paying customers

We have often seen lines out the door for this spot, but was sceptical as to the reason why since bagels outside of New York are not special. I figured they must have something special going on and they do!
If you want a bagel you MUST get there early. We found that out when we stroll around 1:30pm. Don't let that discourage you. We opted for a sandwich on a roll, a few baked goods to go and coffee.
EVERYTHING was a taste sensation. Our last bagel experience was in Brooklyn NY and it was great, but this place jumped to the head of the line even without tasting their wood fired bagels due to the curated locally sourced top tier ingredients, preparation and selection. The staff is welcoming and helpful and if you are lucky to meet Sharon, Southern belle who is a favorite customer you are extra lucky. Sharon gave us the inside scoop on the owners community driven efforts and what to order next at The Deer and the Dove for dinner (the venison). What a charming encounter.
We now understand why people stand on line and will return. Supporting local businesses is a must and quality at this level is to be applauded and appreciated.
Give these great folks a try!

B-side boiler is a cold sandwich on brioche - an egg salad and soft-boiled egg. Fresh, but bland. I only tasted black pepper.
Pastries offered, but overpriced; more in line with parent neighbor restaurant upscale - deer and dove.
Average service.
Ambiance is more of a rock star deli. Loud. Cool vibe if you’d like that, but not quiet enough for work. Worth a visit to experience the place and their food offerings.
Location just outside the train station exit on the edge of the courtyard.
Parking: Parking is paid street or lot, or free if you park many blocks away.

Decided to place an order over the phone for pickup the next morning. The service over the phone was friendly, clear and efficient. However, at the time of purchase (over the phone) it was revealed that they charge a 20% tip on all "catering" orders. I was ordering a Bagel Box: 12 bagels, not sliced, not toasted, and 2 packages of cream cheese. Literally placing the order ahead to save their morning team some grief, and then I'm told I must leave a 20% tip on a $50 order in exchange for a minimum of service? No thank you. "But you can come in tomorrow morning and place your order and then leave the tip amount that you'd like," they helpfully added. This employee was very sweet, but again, no thank you.

I stopped by on a Saturday morning and picked up an iced latte, everything bagel with egg and cheese, and a boston crème doughnut. Latte and bagel sandwich were great! The doughnut was waaayyyy yeasty which was very disappointing given that I paid $6 for it. Service was excellent.

Phenomenal bagels and coffee!!! I got the chicken sausage, egg and cream cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and it was 10/10! Baked to perfection! I also ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk and it was the perfect amount of subtle sweet — I’m not too big on super sweet, so I enjoyed it a lot! Line moved quickly and food came out fast! A bit pricey, but we’re still adjusting since we just moved from Raleigh, NC! Would def recommend ✨

Fantastic quality bagels with a nice char and crunch. The shmears are made in-house and very tasty.
I ordered a few items -
Plain bagel with garlic shmear, very good quality and fresh. Highly recommend any of their bagels and shmears.
Brown butter tart with various fruits. Very good as well.
A croissant with vanilla custard and blackberries. The pastry itself was extremely light and flaky and paired great with the custard and berries, and a slight amount of mint on top was good as well. This was great as well, but the tart was better.
Then I had the "beast of burden" pounder. A light sandwich featuring shaved beef tongue, provolone, saurkraut, and horseradish. The meat was lacking with a very thin layer. You're mostly getting bread and cheese in every bite with a very slight tang from the saurkraut and horseradish (wish they were stronger flavor wise). For 16, I don't think I'd order this again unless they doubled the meat.
Overall, it is a very high-quality bakery. I also got a couple of scones (recommend) to bring home, and any of their cookies are fantastic as well.
The space is a little tight, and people seem to think it's okay taking an entire table for two hours while they play games on their laptops. There's not much in terms of seating.
