Such a lovely spot! We had a lovely 3 course dinner before a show. The salad was fresh, poulet farci was good, the salmon wellington was delicious, and the chocolate pot de crème was smooth but the best part was the orange blossom ice cream. I’ve never had anything like it!!!

This is the real thing! Cafe Alsace offers genuine French cuisine, perfectly cooked from beginning (flammeküchen) to end (tarte tatin). Choucroutte, cassoulet, and the fish stew nage were excellent, “comme il faut.” Wine list is very good, and the service was friendly and efficient even though all tables were full..

My favorite part of this restaurant is the cozy atmosphere inside. The food is also very good, and it has been an establishment in the community for about 20 years (I believe all under the same ownership). It's a great place to go for a date night or just a special dinner that is nice but not too fancy.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise that we found on a quick trip to Atlanta. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and the food was excellent. We ordered Brie with fig jam, the two types of Wellingtons, and different spaetzles. The salmon Wellington is definitely a standout dish! The desserts were also amazing and I recommend ordering them all! We will definitely return!

French food in a homely atmosphere and very friendly service. The house paté was wonderful, as was the quiche. We'll be back to try the cassoulet at dinner. Cute area of Atlanta near the Decatur downtown.

The best French restaurant in Atlanta. The food is incredible, especially beef Wellington and Cassoulet (award winning). We always get the pâté to go as well as it’s delicious. The owner is lovely and creates a great ambiance. wine is affordable.

Absolutely delicious. I'm a francophone/francophile and missing France and the meals were authentic!

Small restaurant specializing in Alsatian cuisine. Very authentic. Food is excellent. Wine list is limited but fair. Pâté is a must and you can buy some to go too. I’m a sucker for choucroute garnie (sausages and kraut) and was perfect.

Country French. Hearty and delicious.I'm glad I came back, I haven't been here in many years and this was a great reminder of the small French restaurants that I visited in Europe. My wife had the cassoulet, which is a hearty stew-like dish. It has a leg of duck and some sausage over a bed of beans. The leg of duck was tender and flavorful. The beans were deliciously seasoned. The sausage really stood out. It was juicy with a nice spice something like an Italian sausage. It was a good mix of rich flavors.I had the breast of duck. It was not the fork tender piece of meat that the leg was. Instead, it has a stronger flavor, and is a bit gamey. If you like that robust version of duck, this is your meal. Normally, it is served with spaetzle, but I can't have that. I thought for sure that they would have fries, after all it is a French restaurant. They did not. Instead I had green beans (l'aricot verte). They were tender and delicious. The whole meal was smothered in a delicious wine sauce. We went with another couple, who were also very complimentary of their meals.Again, this is about the small country French restaurant experience, and not to the genteel sort of thing with spacious dining and more formal service. Instead, an older French woman and a couple of young gals scooted around the crowded room. The service was attentive and comforting. This is a good choice for less formal French dining. Also, it's worth noting that they don't serve cocktails, just beer and wine.Dietary restrictions: It's hard to imagine avoiding gluten and dairy in a French restaurant but it seems like there were good choices here.

I am so upset I didn't discover this little gem earlier. From the authentic French bistro ambience to the incredible food, Cafe Alsace is highly recommended! Almost everything we tried ranged from very good to amazing: escargot, onion pie, chicken pate, beef wellington (heavenly!), magret de canard (shown in the photo), seafood soup... Yum! I'd said only the creme brulee was mediocre.

I ordinarily love this place. We came this week, and took 15 minutes for a server to stop by our table. The cassoulet I ordered was so salty it was a challenge to eat. Very disappointing.

Absolutely loved this place! Food is amazing, plenty of vegetarian options and the staff/owner are very sweet. Will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: 3-4 veg appetizers and 2-3 veg mains + dessert! Only french place in Atl that I know of that serves veg options.

Bread great, place is really nice, wait staff is friendly and attentive. Found the French onion soup strangely sour tasting, could not finish, looked forward to the creme brulee based on reviews, but it was not set right, the custard base was curdled and unappealing and the top was not right either. Disappointed. Others in my party reported their food was decent but not as good as they expected, although they also liked the atmosphere.
