Cupcakes are moist, not too sweet and there was a nice variety. Some places you go to in Decatur and I won't name names, when you get there they literally have no inventory left. It's so annoying. It's refreshing that a cupcake shop actually has, gasp, cupcakes for sale.

I've been getting cupcakes for 3 years now from here. It's always clean and the customer service is great! The prices are very reasonable and the cale last a very long time. I have personally frozen some cupcakes for about a month and then let them thaw out, and they were just as fresh as when I bought them! Hands down, I wouldn't go anywhere else.Parking: It's located at the end of a plaza with plenty of parking.

Red velvet cup cakes were very moist and flavorful however the pound cake wasn't moist was a little on the dryside but will definitely give them another chance because they have many varieties and flavors to choose from.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My family has ordered from cakes by Keon several times. However, the older woman receptionist is going to be the downfall of his business. She is extremely nasty and rude and made the whole process of getting this cake horrible from start to finish. First of all when calling, I was left on hold for a long time twice, I confirmed the cake with her and asked all the questions and she told me what I wanted could be done (in a very condescending tone.) Our cake was supposed to be finished at 12, but when I arrived at 12:10 she told me that Keon was just finishing up writing on the cake. After a while she then said he was stuck in traffic and that I should leave if I had something else to do. I informed her that that isn’t an option because I live further away. This resulted in me waiting until 1:26 before I got the cake all for it to be wrong. She wasn’t apologetic about the incorrect cake even though it was 100% her fault. I informed her that she was the one I placed the order with and I know we discussed the particulars of the cake. She said oh well. I went ahead and bought the cake because it is the day of the birthday party and I wouldn’t have time to get a back up. I will never spend any money with this establishment again.

Popped in yesterday when they opened to get my buddy a last minute red velvet cake w/buttercream (heresy, I know) for his birthday. Lady who checked me out was helpful and sweet. Picked it up later in the afternoon, and let me tell you it was top tier quality. I mean gooood. Got a ghetto juice too- fire. Thanks for taking care of me, I’ll be back when the occasion calls.

I was greeted by a sweet lady, who told me the pound cake was to die for........she was right. I m a new bakery owner myself, but for years I ve patronized every bakery in my area. For some reason, I have this obsession for bakeries. Whenever I visit a bakery, I always spend more than I planned. Keon, ALL of the Cupcakes and cake slices were very delicious!

Hey google family, "Cakes by Keon" is good.( so many rules) However, if you want a custom made cake make sure you let them know months in advance AND you have to come inside the store OR Keon will not make the cake. Only 3 customers at a time inside the bakery. Last year I did not have this problem. I went to Keon's based on him being on TS Madison. I try to support black business but it's ALWAYS something with these types of business.
I was on this side of town so I decided to pop in and taste some treats. I had saw a few posts from this business on IG and everything looked good! This location is in a plaza with free ample parking. At first glance, you might get confused as you have to walk through an open gate to enter the storefront. There's a sign, actually two signs posted with only 3 customers at a time! I'm assuming because of the area.. maybe that's why the rule is made. The store is big enough to hold at least 10 people at a time. Nonetheless, I was the only one entering so that didn't concern me lol. As I entered, I noticed 3-4 coolers. One had eggs and milk so I'm not sure if they sell those items or it was for the bakery storage. I wasn't there for eggs or milk so I moved on to the other cooler. They do sell adult beverages like homemade punch with alcohol, etc. The cooler with the cake slices has an assortment. I noticed that the slices had been frozen. I still picked up a Key Lime slice for purchase. As I am going to the counter, I notice there's no price list posted. I don't like that. I think all businesses should have a clear and detailed posting of prices and what you sell. They had cupcakes on the counter with each container containing 3 small cupcakes. There was a bluish cookie cake with cheesecake that looked good! I asked how much it was and she said $10! I put it back promptly lol. $10 for a regular slice of cake is not for me lol. Well guess I should have asked how much the strawberry crumb cupcakes were before purchase. When she said $19 for my 2 items! I looked at the receipt and saw these 3 small cupcakes were $12! Nonetheless, I paid and left. I couldn't wait to try these delights. But I had about a 40 minute drive home. So by the time, I got home the cake has defrosted somewhat. First bite of the strawberry crumble cupcake was just meh! They definitely looked better than they tasted. They were not moist, not Sahara desert dry but dry nonetheless. The frosting was underwhelming! I gave the other 2 to my family. We unanimously agreed that these weren't giving us what it looked like it was supposed to give.... Unfortunately! The key lime cake was a little better. Maybe a C+. It was more moist then dry but not as moist as cake should be. The icing was just okay as well. The cake slice was $7 which is average. I'm more disappointed in the $12 small cupcakes that were worse than store brought. Customer service was good, unfortunately the items I brought were disappointing.

Customer service was EXCEPTIONAL‼️ The spicy bowl was GREAT a little pricey for the size but whatever the cake I got was average I probably shouldn’t of gotten a cake with Red velvet added being I don’t like red velvet cake I haven’t tried the rest of my purchases but I am SURE they will be decent especially since they are not red velvet… I would definitely come back to try something different the customer service alone was a PLUS for me that don’t come EZ anymore these days.

Yesterday was my child birthday, I wanted to take her to Heavenly cake's on flat shoals parkway but they weren't open yet. But I kept hearing "good views" so I thought, so the so called restaurant wasn't open ??♀️ it's not even connected to the store??♀️ the cake's and cupcakes were ok looking. I got 3 strawberry cupcakes they were $12.99 for that price I was shocked. So I get them because I figured maybe it's worth it, no it wasn't worth the $12.99?? my child said it wasn't that good the cupcakes were dry and the icing wasn't that good either ???♀️ she said I wish heavenly cake's were open. So no I will not be coming back, I wouldn't even tell or fake brag about this place, walking in I didn't feel welcome the cashier was really nasty acting the owner act like he didn't know what was going on??♀️??♀️ if you wanna try so great cake go to heavenly cake's on flat shoals parkway their cake's are the bomb ?????? the only reason why I didn't go there because they wasn't open ? but no I will not be coming back to keon cake's if I wanted a store bought cake I would've went to Kroger or a good Publix.
