Please do not go to City Barbecue Decatur on your lunch break. I ordered my food online and requested curbside pickup because I have a knee injury and I'm currently walking with a cane. The online site indicated my order would be ready at 12:56pm. I arrived at 1:00pm and clicked on the link to alert staff that I was waiting outside. At 1:10pm I called into the store and asked if my order was ready? I was told my food would be right out. An entire 15 minutes later I still did not have my food so I called into the store again. I again gave my name and asked if my food was ready. I was told the restaurant was busy at the time and I could always come in to retrieve my order. I responded I did not want to come in and could a please have my food. I also added I was on my lunch break and my time was limited only to be mocked by the lady on the phone. At 1:26pm my food was finally brought out by staff who didn't even acknowledge me or apologize for my wait. At this point I immediately open up my food to take a few bites because I am a diabetic and my blood sugar was swiftly dropping. My food was ICE COLD! This led me to believe my food had just been sitting. I hurried back to work and was warned about being late back from lunch. This was a horrible experience and I do not know if I will ever order from this particular restaurant again. If I could add zero stars I would!!!!

Came in yesterday and it is EXTREMELY HOT. I couldn’t even enjoy my food because it felt I was in a heater. The lady that took my order appeared to be sweating visibly also nobody should have to eat/ work in a environment that hot I feel bad for the workers. Definitely won’t be back until the heat issue is fixed.

I/We have nothing but; love for "City Barbeque" in Decatur Georgia! Special thank you to the Mangers & the Employees. For helping me and others, celebrate my "God Mother's "90th birthday celebration this afternoon. Everything was phenomenal! She enjoyed those tender juicy finger licking ribs, macaroni cheese, fried okra, collard greens, & cornbread & coleslaw. Please don't let me forget hertall glass of lemonade. Everyone that attended her birthday celebration. Cannot, stop calling me and thanking me, for choosing "City Barbeque Decatur" please dont let me forget to tell you all about the banana pudding it was absolutely amazing! We will be back soon!

City BBQ has excellent BBQ and its prices can't be beat. I am especially grateful for their family packs which can feed a family of four for around $25. It's an amazing deal and always delicious. Although I rarely eat in, the atmosphere is great and they have nice seating indoor or outdoor.

The experience was what I expected from this location. They are usually very busy and don't seem to have time for much customer service interactions beyond taking orders and filling orders. Not a complaint, just an observation.Parking: Small parking lot with 3 businesses. Very challenging for those who need handicap parking.

Enjoyed the meats.. ribs, brisket, sausage and chicken.. the bbq sauce was sooo good. Not a fan of the greens or peach cobbler but the baked beans were delicious. Oh the corn bread was good too.. would be even better with honey butter drizzle on top.. but it was still good
I placed an order (just sides)at 8:10 pm in the app. I received an email that confirmed my order and advised it would be ready at 8:25pm. When I arrived for pickup at 8:40pm, I waited at the counter for a minute until a young lady asked me if I was picking up an order(with an attitude). I answered and gave her my first name as I have always done in the past. She didn't see it on the shelf or on the counter then she said with an even greater, nastier attitude (my first name what?) as if it was my fault she couldn't find it. I gave my last name. She looked up my info in the computer. She said nothing else to me as she proceeded to make the order, bag it and place it on the counter. I'm wondering why at 8:40 was my order not ready when I placed it at 8:10. I received no receipt, no apology, no thank you for your business, just a nasty attitude. I hope management addresses her ASAP for there is a lack of common courtesy and customer service skills. She should be reminded she is employed because of customers. As a customer, I have the choice to spend my dollars wherever I choose. After tonight, I will spend my dollars elsewhere for awhile and at this time cannot and will not refer anyone to this location.

Hadn't been here in years, and I specifically wanted ribs. I stopped in & ordered a half rack. It came with Texas toast, anf it was a big piece, but the bread was soft. No issue there. Despite other reviews, my ribs were very tender, cooked well. However, I just felt like they could've been more flavorful. Maybe that batch wasn't seasoned hard enough. They weren't bad, but I've just had better in the area. I didn't get sides on this trip. I'll come back to try more though.
