This restaurant/cafeteria has to make the food it sales be easily distinguishable between what has and what does not have animal products.
I bought a bun after some convincing from someone restocking the pastries, what a big mistake, saying it was extremely dry is an understatement, it went into the trash.
**if I could give zero stars I would** They lied to my face and said that everything in the store was vegan, including the mac and cheese. I know for a fact it was not. This is 100% cheese. When you've been vegan for 5+ years you know the difference - plus I'm looking at other reviews here with people saying that they DO in fact use dairy in the mac and cheese and other items and have lied to people about this. Going as far back as 2020. If I ask you if something is vegan, just tell me what is ACTUALLY vegan, I'll just eat that!! But now I feel cheated, lied to, and disgusted. I'd rather spend my money at a place that serves meat than a vegetarian restaurant that's gonna lie to their customers.......Just label things and don't lie to people! SMH. BEST Bulla Cake I’ve EVER tasted! !
BEST Bulla Cake I’ve EVER tasted! !
Delicious black owned restaurant with a buffet of vegan/veg Caribbean food along with a bakery and juice bar. Fresh, flavorful, and big portions. Definitely try the curry, mac n' cheese, rice and peas, any of their delicious patties and samosas, and that juice…it's magical. More of a take out place, no frills location but the food is worth a drive! Updated from previous review on 2022-09-11

A terrific local spot in a very international strip mall. The food was really fabulous.
Highly recommend, black owned, lots of variety, Caribbean plant based, reasonably priced Updated from previous review on 2022-07-31

There seems to be some confusion, so I will also confirm that this is a *vegetarian* restaurant, not vegan. This was made obvious by walking just inside the door and reading the ingredients list of their house-made beverages, which include honey. This is not a problem in itself, as they do not claim to be a vegan restaurant and the ingredients are shown. The problem is that they are unclear/giving mixed messages about their completely unlabeled buffet and bakery items. There are not even signs labeling what an item is, much less ingredients or vegan markers. The employee had to explain what each thing was and literally said that "everything is vegan". I gave no indications that I had any misgivings about the cheesy items based on reading reviews here. After asking questions about the lasagna looking dishes unrelated to the cheese, she again mentioned that it was vegan cheese, but then was like "or vegetarian", and acted unsure of which word to use, and then was unable to answer my clarifying questions about whether the cheese was really vegan. I asked to see the package and she just said that she didn't know and the cooks knew, and "if you don't trust it just don't order the things with cheese"... so I didn't. I also ordered a couple baked items that she said were vegan, but again I could not be sure. The food was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The employee was very friendly and patient with my questions. But it is important to actually understand what "vegan" means when you are operating a restaurant. It's amazing that a vegetarian restaurant would be so confused and unclear/misleading about this. I think most items were probably vegan, but I would not go back simply because I don't trust being able to know for sure, even more so than in most omni restaurants. If they simply became clear about what is vegan or not this would be a 4-star review.
This is not Hard Dough Bread.I purchased one of your fake Hard Dough Bread’s from Nam Dae Mun farmers market today.I took a picture of it before I threw it in the trash where it belongs.

*Beware* I have reason to believe the Macaroni and cheese is NOT VEGAN. I asked a store attendant what kind of cheese they used. She directed me to a brand and the first ingredient is "pasteurized milk." I confronted the attendant about the non-vegan cheese and he was extremely confrontational. I need answers.
Every city I’ve been to has that one “hole in the wall” place that has the best Vegan food I’ve ever had. This is the spot for Atlanta. I had the okra, Mac and “cheese”, and the “beef”. Everything was absolutely amazing. The portions you get for the price are Ridiculous. 10 out of 10
