Double Dragon Oakhurst Chinese

The dumplings were pretty good but the 'honey walnut shrimp' was just bad. This fish is normally has candied toasted walnuts but the the walnuts we're soggy and plain. The shrimp was cooked well but the sauce was so thin and didn't stay on the dish well. The broccoli in the dish was plain but cooked well. It was definitely not worth $15.

I met a friend here for lunch. The service was excellent, Tony and Jackie are great. The food, eh, it's ok. The five spice chicken nuggets and pork potstickers are yummy but the entrees are, at least the ones we had, were bland. I might try them again if I'm in the area but wouldn't break my neck to come back.

I've read the other reviews not sure what the trend is about? The drinks are of the highest quality matching Kimball house. We shared the hot and sour, it has pork which can throw some off but I liked it. Poo poo platter was good I like the ribs. We got spicy generals which again very good actually chicken in there unlike most that it's mostly bread. I got the bok choy and mushrooms. Very tasty.

I wish I could say good things about this place but I really can't. The only positive about my first experience – and only experience – a double dragon was that our waitress was really nice and did her best to provide great service. Food was awful. And I mean seriously awful. We ordered two simple things: that's sweet potato Rangoon‘s and vegetable lo mein. The Rangoon‘s had absolutely no flavor. The lo mein was no better. Totally watery and tasted like there is no soy sauce or any seasoning whatsoever. I didn't want to complain because I got the sense that our waitress and the whole restaurant over all was really struggling and well aware of how lousy things we're going in the dining room on this particular night. So I chalk this up to a loss and a learning lesson. I won't be going back but I do wish them success and hope that they're able to improve the food. The only thing that will help I guess is getting better cooks and chefs.

Great food, so fresh and tender. Large choice of items on menu. Not too expensive. Server was very cool. One of the managers painted some large interesting paintings on the wall including a disco Bruce Lee.
