Last Wednesday night, Eddie's Attic featured a double-header featuring Nashville's own Thomas Austin & the incredible duo Fielder. Seriously, if you're into folk music that actually hits you in the heart, these bands are for you. Austin led off, & he immediately had our attention. His style is basically raw storytelling mixed with serious spiritual depth. His songs are relatable but poetic, drawing you right into his narratives about life & faith. His stage vibe is just so warm, funny, & chill. He set the perfect, relaxed mood for Fielder to come on.
Then Fielder—which is Addison Agen & Skye Peterson (who happens to be Austin’s wife, which is awesome!)—took over. Their voices together are unbelievable. We're talking harmonies that just melt into one perfect sound. They sounded amazing, with that kind of thoughtful, honest songwriting you'd expect from one of Nashville's best-kept secrets. They played a bunch from their debut album, & it felt polished, but the emotion was totally personal. They absolutely nailed the upbeat tracks & those slow, haunting ballads. It wasn't just a gig; it was a heartfelt night of genuine music. If you love the singer-songwriter tradition be sure to catch Fielder & Thomas Austin next time they roll through Atlanta!

This should be a great music venue. Just had the experience of one of my favorite artists tarnished a bit by bad decisions by Eddie’s.

You should know that they oversell this place by what seemed like about 20 - 30%. I did not know this. We get there about 5 minutes before and are informed it’s standing only. I actually don’t mind standing and would be happy to for one of my favorite artists. But this place has NO ā€œstanding roomā€ you just have to clump in the back or mingle amongst tables and stools at the bar. Everywhere I attempt to stand or move someone complains that I’m standing in their way. ALL I can see is the backs of like 4 people’s heads anyway and no less than 5 different times someone tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to move. Like you are sitting on a bar stool at the very back of the room man. If you don’t want me in front of you, then you stand up and I’ll take your stool.

This all could be solved if Eddie’s just didn’t oversell the room. It’s not that kind of place anyway. We paid the same for tickets as everyone else and bought months ago. I’m ok with standing if there is actual space for it. But don’t throw me to the wolves and ruin mine and everyone behind me’s experience just so you can make an extra few bucks.

+1 star the back porch is nice.

1st visit and had a great time! Saw 2 shows - Between Dreams session and Adam Warner - all put on a very solid show! Eddie’s Attic is a very intimate venue. Server was terrific. Ordered a burger and fries and it was really good for bar food. Drinks (wine) is on the pricey side.

The seats are very uncomfortable though.

They also have a roof top patio/bar that looks well setup.

Overall highly recommend! Wish they had a similar venue in the area I live. Looking forward to another visit.

Saw one of my favorite singers at Eddie’s Attic and had an awesome time. The space is super intimatefeels like you’re in on something special. No bad seat in the house, and the sound was spot on. It’s the kind of place where you really get to hear an artist, not just watch them perform. If you’re into live music and want a more personal, stripped-down vibe, this is definitely the spot.

Amazing intimate venue to experience top talent up close and personal. The historical lineup of artist who have stood on their stage produces so much reverence and nostalgia... its an emotional overload if you sit and think about it for too long, lol. Staff is wonderful from the front door greeter to the barracks. Clean and simple menu is just right for snacking between songs, and the waitress makes sure you are never left wanting.

Great music as always. This place always has some of the best vibes in Decatur. They've been around for years and have always found a way to showcase some of the best local talents in a very intimate and raw way. I would highly recommend stopping by for a show!!! Afterwards you're free to roam downtown Decatur or hop on over to Trackside. šŸ˜‰

Nice venue with decent but not great sound (vocals were lost in the mix). Saw Mother's Finest and they rocked the house! Arrive early to get a good table or seat.

This place is so run down. The last 5 years have taken its toll on this once icon. There were 5 tubs catching water coming through the ceiling tonight in the men's room, that wreaked of urine. The staff really could care less if youvare there. The tables wobble and chairs are broken. You can hardly even get in the place because of the overgrowth. Such a shame.
