So the burger was decent. We ordered downstairs and wanted to sit upstairs, but we were denied entry by a manager who told us we were not allowed because… we ordered downstairs. I don’t know what kind of restaurant segregates its customers like this. I would’ve ordered upstairs if I’ve known this, it’s a cooler space, but no one tells you that when you walk in the front door and see an obvious order window and menu. It’s beyond the denial of service issue though, because downstairs they don’t have basics like salt, ketchup, and napkins. You have to go specially request those. I don’t know why a restaurant would give good (?) service to only half the restaurant, and then give no service to the rest of it. Why not give service to the whole restaurant? I will not be returning. The food was decent, but there’s a million other places that don’t segregate their customer like this, or deny them entry to half the restaurant. Oh, and what stupid is I probably would’ve ordered more drinks if I had been allowed upstairs so, the restaurant really just loses money with this dumb approach.

Pretty small burger for the price, but at least they actually put Bleu cheese on enough for flavor and not just decoration. Fries were frozen crinkle cut, but properly cooked and not overseasoned. Tea not overly sweet by Georgia standards, but served warm so you have to water it down with ice. Service was under ten minutes at lunch, but the place was pretty empty.

I’ve been to this Grindhouse many times as a Decatur resident, but recently started going to the rooftop bar. Both times my son and I were served by the same bartender (beard, sunglasses), and both times he was noticeably rude to us while being friendly to everyone else. We were also the only Black customers there, which made the experience even more disheartening. As a longtime local, I’ve never experienced this here before. Sadly, we won’t be returning to the rooftop bar.

I’ve gotta stop getting Grindhouse in Decatur... I keep thinking it’s gonna be as good as it used to be and it keeps being super mid. I need to try one of the other locations to see if they are still good. One of my favorite things about Grindhouse was that you could get a burger actually cooked medium, and now every time they are ordered medium they come out well done if not straight burned. They also seem thinner to me? Do love the brussel sprouts though.

Was in the area for business and stopped in for a burger and a pint. Great atmosphere with a semi outdoor second floor. Service was good, but the burgers were just as they say, “Killer.”

Great burgers. Found them years ago while at Jury Duty and didn't want where everyone was getting. It's a quick walk around the corner. Well, worth it!

This location specifically is amazing! Kisha took care of me with only moments to spare before closing and was the sweetest and kindest. No hassle and the food was delicious.
