We visit from Birmingham, AL, and every time we’re in Atlanta, this spot is a must! It’s always busy, which says a lot, but the food and service are consistently excellent. We not only dine in but also pack extra to take back home. The variety is incredible, with something to satisfy every street food craving. I recently tried their pani puri, and pav bhaji, omg, it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, flavorful street food.

Dust all over, bad serving dishes. Felt like eating jail food.that tray is absolutely disgusting. Food was okay. Putting the honest brand down by not taking care of hygiene. Not sure what the huge paper roll was kept on the table. Management need to pay more attention to details.

We’ve been dining at Honest in Decatur since the day it opened, and it has remained our family’s absolute favorite ever since. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, flavorful. What sets this place apart is not just the food but the genuinely pleasant staff and their unwavering commitment to customer service. They always go above and beyond to make sure every visit ends with a smile. It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines great taste with such heartfelt hospitality and consistency.

Have not had such a rude customer service experience in a while. We drove from 3 hours away and unfortunately arrived late and they were closing soon. The woman (maybe owner) was so rude and lied that kitchen is closed and allowed us to only order pav bhaji nothing else. After we placed order we overheard they will close kitchen after that. There were tons of people still eating and yet she didnt allow us even to sit inside while we wait.

Dining at Honest Restaurant in Decatur, GA was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the experience was warm, authentic, and refreshingly different from the typical Indian dining scene. This isn’t just another run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant—Honest has carved out a distinct identity with a unique menu, bold flavors, and genuine hospitality that immediately sets it apart.
Let’s start with the food: absolutely phenomenal. The menu is centered around traditional Indian street food and regional specialties that you won’t easily find elsewhere, especially not with this level of quality. We ordered a variety of items to get the full experience, and every single dish impressed us.
The Pav Bhaji was rich, buttery, and deeply flavorful—clearly made fresh and served piping hot with pillowy-soft buns grilled to perfection. The Dabeli and Vada Pav brought a taste of Mumbai to Decatur, bursting with spice, texture, and that familiar street-style authenticity. The Bhel Puri was crisp, tangy, and incredibly refreshing. But what really blew us away were the Indo-Chinese dishes—the Manchurian, the Schezwan Fried Rice, and the Hakka Noodles were all exceptionally balanced in flavor, heat, and aroma.
For dessert, we couldn’t resist the Royal Falooda and Kulfi, and both were delightful—sweet, creamy, and beautifully presented. Each dish was generously portioned and fairly priced, a rarity in today’s dining landscape.
Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was impeccably clean and well-lit, with a casual yet modern decor that felt inviting. The staff was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to explain ingredients and spice levels and even checked on us multiple times without being intrusive.
You can tell that Honest takes its name seriously—everything from the food to the service to the ambiance feels rooted in integrity and quality. They’re not trying to be flashy or gimmicky; they just deliver solid, delicious food made with care. For vegetarians and lovers of Indian street cuisine, this place is a dream.
Whether you’re familiar with Indian food or trying it for the first time, Honest Restaurant is a must-visit in Decatur. It’s rare to find a place that combines authenticity, value, and great service so seamlessly. We will absolutely be back—and next time, we’re bringing friends.
