This is a big city bar in a local environment. Every classic cocktail and new cocktail is amazing, the bartender is great and knows what’s going on globally in drinks. Worth a stop, worth a trip, enjoy your visit.

We had been wanting to try Kindred for some time and were able to go for lunch the other day. The atmosphere was good and the waiter was friendly and accommodating. My wife ordered a Cobb salad with shrimp that had pork belly as one of the ingredients. The pork belly was overcooked, dry and tough like it had been on a warming plate too long and the dressing was underwhelming. I had the chicken thighs entree, and it was the first time ever that I have been served overcooked and dry chicken thighs in a restaurant! Know that we didn't want to send anything back to the kitchen and have to wait for replacements. Hopefully this was simply an off day for the kitchen based on other's reviews.

Kindred is a good spot in Decatur. We went with a group and the service was great! All of the dishes we ordered were excellent, but some of them tended to be a little on the salty side, so that’s a good thing to keep in mind. Overall, I would recommend this place!

My husband and I had the most delicious dinner here. Their cocktail menu is so fun and every single drink we ordered was amazing and inventive. We got the burger and vegetable plate - both were absolutely delicious! As a vegetarian, I really appreciated the thought that went into making the dish flavorful and suitable for my diet. Also the patatas bravas and ellijay mushrooms were so good! The service was also on point. We will definitely be returning! 😊

I have been a patron of Kindred and before Kitchen 6. The past visits were pleasant and the food was good. This last visit was not a good experience. I had made a reservation on a Thursday evening for 3. We were seated in a booth as requested. The first thing my guests and I noticed was that the seat bottoms were completely worn out. We sank so low that we felt like children sitting at an adult table. The second issue was that our water glasses were allowed to go empty for ten plus minutes before being refilled. The last and most disappointing was my swordfish dish. For $41.00 I expect a nicely done fish. The size about 4 oz was small but it was burned on the bottom. All of this made for a less than desirable experience.
