Wanted a steak one night so I made reservations. Had one refreshing gin cocktail & one boozy one both were 10/10. Bartenders were great. Then the steak came cooked to perfection (medium), had the spaghetti with marinara for the side it was also superb. Highly recommend if you want some great food with a nice ambience.
We had excellent service, and our waitress was fantastic, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was really great but service was slow. 15 minutes for our drinks and close to 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We inquired about the wait and were told they had a big party which I have to assume they knew about ahead of time because of the reservation. Definitely plan to go back and give it another shot . The food was just that good!
Good comfort Italian food. Lots of servers and they were very accommodating. Very loud. Parking as always a challenge however that has nothing to do with the restaurant. Will definitely be back.
no 246 was absolutely phenomenal. A longtime friend and I went there to celebrate her upcoming birthday and just catch up, and truly enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed the meatballs as our appetizers and shared the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken as our dinner. There was so much food, we split the remaining and both had lunch for the next day. We even added in another meatball to enjoy with our leftovers. We will for sure return!
Always the best experience. The food is like nothing else in the city. So great. Brandi is awesome!
Food was unbelievably good. Highlights were the black ink pasta with shrimp and the bolognese. Pasta treated with the care it deserves. Margarita pizza was also delicious. Great service, buzzy atmosphere, if a little loud.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Outstanding Italian Dining Experience at No. 246 (Decatur, GA)
No. 246 absolutely delivered from start to finish. Every dish that hit the table was rich, comforting, and clearly crafted with care and quality ingredients.
The pasta was perfectly cooked and generously coated in a flavorful, well-balanced red sauce, finished with just the right amount of freshly grated cheese. The meatballs were tender, hearty, and deeply savory—easily some of the best I’ve had, with incredible texture and seasoning. The baked dish (with melted cheese bubbling over the top) was indulgent, comforting, and packed with bold, classic Italian flavors that felt both rustic and refined.
Beyond the food, the service truly elevated the experience. Our waitress, Randy, was phenomenal—attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel taken care of without being intrusive, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
From the food to the atmosphere to the service, everything was on point. No. 246 is doing it right, and this visit absolutely won’t be our last.
Highly recommend. We will definitely be back. 10/10. 🍝

Though a bit cramped inside it’s still a nice establishment.. but the food not so much. The table ordered their cheese bread appetizer which was pretty good but the entree was ok. A friend ordered the steak which I tried and it was decent just really chewy and it was cooked to a temp of medium. I ordered the Shrimp scampi with a side of pasta. The scampi at Red Lobster (I know) has more depth and flavor than this and the pasta was lacked flavor and was just super buttery with a heavy amount of garlic flavor. Three other friends tried the spicy rigatoni and she said it was good.
Food drinks atmosphere all 10. Make reservations in advance!

Disappointed would be an understatement.
My boyfriend and I had been looking forward to visiting No. 246 for quite some time. We finally made a reservation for 12/30/25 and were so excited that we didn’t even eat lunch, planning to try multiple items from the menu. Despite freezing temperatures and extremely limited parking, we stayed positive and circled the block four times before finally finding a spot.
When we walked in, there were two young hosts at the front. One was seating another party, and the other was looking at a tablet. We stood there waiting, not wanting to interrupt. After 12 minutes of being completely ignored, despite being the only guests standing there, we started questioning whether we were invisible. At one point, both hosts were standing around talking and looking around, doing nothing, yet still did not acknowledge us. This was incredibly odd and something I’ve never experienced before.
I finally spoke up and asked what we needed to do to be greeted and checked in. The hostess responded, “You just needed to get our attention. I didn’t know if you already checked in or not.” That response was unacceptable considering they watched us walk in and made no effort to greet us or ask a simple question. Do the hosts not communicate with one another or check on guests waiting at the door or consider extending a simple hello or ask if we had already been checked in?
As if that experience wasn’t bad enough, she located our reservation, grabbed two menus, and began leading us outside. I want to be very clear here: I made the reservation through Google, which only shows available times. There is no option or notice indicating indoor vs. outdoor seating. Had we known we were being seated outside in 50-degree weather, we would not have made the reservation.
When we stopped her and explained that we expected indoor seating, she said the system showed otherwise and that the restaurant was fully booked inside. That is something management seriously needs to investigate, because Google does not inform customers of this when booking.
After struggling to park, being ignored at the door, dismissed by the hosts, and then told we had to eat outside in the cold, we decided that was enough and walked out.
Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. I even called once we made it to the car and asked for management, but the hostess took over and kept explaining what her system was showing her and irritating me further. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN A RESTAURANT BY FAR!

Food and atmosphere was great. But unfortunately we won’t be back. While enjoying the bread and red sauce that came out before the entrees the young lady that was with me bit into her bread after dipping it into the sauce and pulled a long strand of hair out of her mouth. We alerted the waiter and he apologized but no follow up, didn’t send a manager over, nothing was comped and i thought that was strange. We decided to stay because we were tight on time but we at least expected a manager to come address it somehow. We didn’t think that was handled properly.

No. 246 is absolutely phenomenal! The shrimp scampi is a must-order, perfectly cooked shrimp, rich flavor, and paired with the noodles it was simply outstanding. Every bite tasted fresh, balanced, and expertly prepared.
The garlic bread was absolutely amazing and incredibly authentic. Warm, perfectly seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. You can truly tell the care and quality that goes into the food here.
From the flavors to the overall experience, No. 246 delivers excellence. If you’re looking for authentic Italian done right, this place is a definite winner. Highly recommend!
