Went in and bought a strawberry cupcake. It was extremely dry and crumbling apart. This is the second time in 3 months that I’ve had a cupcake from this location and each has been dry. I’ll have to try another location and see if it makes a difference!

Historically, I was a fan of this place. The service and atmosphere is lovely. However, the cakes are super dry, the slices are cut in a sloppy manner and the flavor is no longer tastey. Unfortunately, I will no longer frequent this establishment.

Cake is definitely going downhill. It was very dry and had little hard bits of cake throughout. Very disappointing. I asked if it was fresh since I had come in about 11 and the shelves were darn near empty, of course I was told yes but from the taste that was more than likely a lie.

Dry, dry, dry. Hosted a couple for dinner for one's 75th birthday. Bought a piece of German chocolate and caramel cake. Both were extremely dry, and honestly the flavor disappointing as well. No marking on container, so I question how long they were on the shelf. I liked the idea of getting just slices and not a whole cake. But will have to try from somewhere else the next time.

My coworker and I went here to pick up a few pieces of cake to celebrate a friend’s birthday…. Well when I say the service was absolutely horrible.. I was taken aback by how rude the employee was. We visited on 12/30 at 1:49 PM. I couldn’t believe it. We were asking questions and she just ignored us. Then when it was time to pay for our cakes she just snatched the card from my friend. This was a horrible experience for myself and my friend’s. The cake is great but the service was terrible!
The girl was a young girl, tall light skinned and she had really long braids.

Overall, the taste of the filling was good. Since I.ve gotten older, I don.t eat the icing. The cake was crumbly as i pulled out the spatula. I.m glad I didn't take it to an older matriarchal home for holiday dinner.. If you know anything about the grammas who were born in the 1920s-50s you already know when you cut into a cake, the cut is to be neat and pristine, bc otherwise, gramma will have a fit...lolz-memories.

My mom used to stay in the area. I have not been here in awhile. My favorite cake is the peach pound cake in the summer it's seasoned. Second favorite cake is the cookies and cream cake. Third favorite cake is the Mardi Gras cake I tried years ago.I got cookies and cream cake and chocolate chip pound cake slices. The cake is good. I went Tuesday on bogo day no cookies and cream cake so I went back on Wednesday.
I went to Piece of Cake today, October 2nd, around noon. We’ve always loved the place, but the lady at the front was on a whole other level of rude. If you’re going to be in customer service, you’ve got to be helpful, and she was the opposite of that. I’ve never come across anyone as rude as her, with all those stickers on her cap. I even asked if she was okay.
Because of how she treated us, we’ll probably go to a different location. That “lady” could definitely use some lessons in manners. Now, I see why other customers said the same. Sadly I can’t give her 0 to her service. 👎🏼

Not many options for gluten and dairy free cakes. Place is a bit pricey but still better than other bakeries. I've been there once but not sure if I will go back again. Service was half friendly.

I would have given 5 stars if the customer service was better because the cake was delicious , there was a young lady there wearing a bunch of nice crystals on today 8/26 at 5:59pm with a horrible attitude, this has to have been the worst customer service I have ever received. Sad to say that employees will tear down your business. I won’t be coming back to this location and I’m not sure if I will visit any other locations as this is the closest location for my commute from work to home. I wish you guys the best of luck!

Good cake but the service/employees have gone down hill. I've been going to Piece of Cake for as long as they've been in business. When I visit from DC, Piece of Cake was on my to do list. In 2012ish I found them the location in Camp Creek. I would drive from there to Decatur for cake and jokingly told a young lady they needed a location in Camp Creek. Coincidentally they were looking for a new location. I give her the number to a vacancy in Camp Creek Market, never got as much as a thank you!! Today I visit Decatur and the young lady tells me they don't have change, so either I pay $7.00 or another form of payment. I told her, I would pay $6.00, it's not my fault you don't have change. She looked at me as though I had 3 heads and politely said "that means you're not getting the cake?" Bad enough the barely had any cake on the shelves and I was settling for something I didn't have in mind, now I'm getting a condescending response. Good customer service would've taken the $6.00 and apologize for not having change on hand but made it right by accepting $6.00. I will continue buying piece of cake but maybe not this location. Great product, not so great service.
