I would never recommend this business to anyone. When you hire a company to do a service and you tell them that you weren't pleased with the service provided and then they get in their feelings and send a very nasty response, they should not be in hospitality. Here is his response:
"First and Foremost how are you embarrassed that it took 1hour and 26 minutes to serve 200 guest, but you wasn’t embarrassed to ask a stranger, to pay your balance in Food stamps? How are you not embarrassed that you couldn’t pay your balance on time because you were “recovering from Christmas “ , This will be my only and last time addressing you about this party that you clearly couldn’t afford, catering service is a luxury, what you paid 2250.00 is not what you should’ve been charged, let’s start there and I will give you a breakdown. You also stated that I should’ve had 8 servers, you couldn’t afford 8 servers, and I was going to come out of pocket and have additional people but realizing that I will be taking a loss, I didn’t! Again you barely could afford the people that was there to serve. I stated a minimum of 10 times to leave the kitchen, you decided not to, you decided to have your family help, and you stated to me because of the change of wanting everyone served you said that you will have them help because that’s what y’all are there for! And you stated that more than once, your sister came in the kitchen and insisted that they came in and help because y’all are one of those families that don’t mind helping! AGAIN I told her no , after telling her no, you decided to rally up your people and have them miss the party to come

You don’t work food service , you are not certified in food service , we are, we do this professionally, we’ve worked with thousands of people , white , black, Hispanics, and we have ONLY encountered a problem with YOU! Now you stated it’s not your responsibility to make sure the kitchen is working properly,? Whose is it? You sent me pictures, I’ve asked you about the kitchen and you said yes!! We came up with a plan of action to utilize the kitchen and create a buffet line to serve your guest, YOU CHANGED IT LAST MINUTE AND DIDN’T EVEN PAY! plated is double the charge Double the work, you wanted something you couldn’t pay for! As for my mother being rude, honestly you deserved it! We asked you to leave the kitchen and you didn’t and then you came in there rushing us as if you were in control, if we were any other business you would not be allowed in the kitchen to Hoover over food like you did! We served, cleaned up , and left, we didn’t need to say goodbye or ask for permission to leave, our job was done. We left food on the stove and people came in got what they wanted and we left the remaining, Your MOTHER even came in the kitchen and stated everything was good she wanted some to take home, which she did! Now the get to the break down of cost since for some reason you believe you deserve money back, for a party of 200 I charge any where from 4000-4500! You couldn’t afford that, you wanted 8!servers that’s 150.00 per hour per person. You couldn’t afford that, the people that were there is help that don’t charge me to help. You under paid for your party, added people for no additional charge, change original plans of having a buffet which would’ve increased your price that you didnt want to pay, so please tell me why would I even consider giving you money back? I won’t! I’m not! I hope that you get all the answers you need from this response because this is my last response to you! Thank you for your business with Southern Af, God is Love, Be Blessed 🙏🏾"

Wow! I had to take some time to write this review! I live in another city but heard that this food is awesome so I made the 30 minute trip today...I was not disappointed!!!! I ordered a combo salad with both steak and shrimp! The package is beautifully wrapped and this was by far the best salad and worth every penny!!!! The size of the salad is huge and the customer service was excellent!!! Listen...people please stop by this location inside the braid bar because not only is the food delicious the drinks (Alchol) is to die for (peach margarita). Kudos to the Southern AF Team
