We waited 20 minutes to order and no one even acknowledged us.

Good food selection for plant-based folks. Excellent service. A polite NA beer selection. Enjoyed my time there!

We celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday at Steinbecks Restaurant. We had fun. Lily and Luke are new friends we met. Luke was celebrating his MBAšŸŽ‰šŸŽŠšŸ¾. The steak was delicious. I had the chicken sandwich with Brussels sprouts... We enjoyed our meal.

I went here on 5/11/2025 for the first time. I'm new in the area this is a neighborhood pub or bar. Cool vibe from the music and entertainment on the TV..It took a minute for me to order but it was definitely worth the wait. I had a Guinness beer to sip on and a water until my food came. I got the Shrimp Ceviche with $1.00 extra chips made in house. The entree is delicious. Everything is fresh and good..My pretty nice waitress Remy took care of me..

Always great. Menu not the average boring fried bar food crap.

I know, you’re probably asking ā€œif all the subcategories got five stars, why didn’t the overall restaurantā€? Good question. All the food I’ve had has been absolutely delicious; the specials are always on-point; I think the atmosphere is super cozy; the bar service has always been friendly and speedy.

There are two reasons it got 4 stars instead of 5. First, the menu is VERY limited and a little bit all-over-the-place; I understand that they have a small kitchen, but when ā€œChinese breakfastā€ (which is delicious), steak frites, and a chicken shawarma wrap are all on the same menu, I just find it confusing. The first time I went, I was hoping for some German classics: bratwurst or other sausage, schnitzel, spƤtzle…. But it’s not the slightest bit German, even in the beer list. Ok, no problem — I have a German surname and am not even remotely German myself, so I get that. But then what are they going for? World fusion? Eclectic? Don’t get me wrong, the food is GOOD (very good, even), but the menu is just confusing.

Second reason for the 4-stars-only rating: for an ale house, the beer selection is also quite strange. I’m usually an IPA drinker, and can always find *one* on the list, but never options. But again, the list is very eclectic.

Steinbecks is a good place! I recommend local folks and visitors try it — just be prepared for a small, eclectic menu and drink list. If you know what you’re getting into, you’ll enjoy your time there, I have no doubt.

A cozy local haunt. We sat at the bar; the staff was friendly. The food came quickly, was presented well, and everything tasted hot and fresh. The wings are absolutely a Must Try. They have a great crunchy texture, and the flavor balances savory and sweet perfectly. So good we didn't take a pic šŸ˜‚

Parking: There's a lot behind the bar.
