Ordered The Southern Breakfast from what is listed as Breakfast House via Uber Eats and Sublimes Restaurant and Catering on at the venue. Order went through. Upon arrival, a man who I believe was the owner came from the back and told me that there was no grits so he canceled my order on his end. Never mind that the place was empty though it was 10:20AM, and there were no signs of activity, e.g., cooking smells or sounds. I saw no other staffers on site. Unfortunately, I did not get the man's name but took him at his word--that he canceled my order (confirmed twice). Three days later, I noticed that the HOLD was charged to my account. Uber says I was supposed to advise within 48HRS. Meanwhile, it takes the bank 3-5 business days to remove a hold so I would have no idea that the hold wouldn't drop off in 48HRS. Importantly, if vendor cancels order, the money should automatically go back to my account. I know that because that's happened before except the credit was instant (same day). Restauranteurs like Sublimes are in cahoots with Uber. They say they'll cancel an incomplete order but turn around and mark it as complete without ever providing food. For their part, Uber won't issue a refund nor will Uber investigate complaint. So I can't rate Sublime's food, because I've not tried it, but I can rate the staff/owner's lack of integrity. My experience is cosigned by earlier reviews from 1-2YRS ago.UPDATE 9/4: After a week, a series of chats via app, and a flurry of emails, I got a call from Uber manager who issued a $15 credit to my Uber account. The MGR did not confirm or deny how or why the order was marked as complete, which was the premise for declining to refund the order after 48HRS.

I am all for supporting small businesses but when the business shows that they are money hungry and refuses to honor a service that their business sign up for I am done supporting you. So today, I ordered food thru door dash which totaled $10 and some change.The company offers you a coupon for 50%off if you pick your order up. So I applied the coupon and the total came out to be $5.40. Not even 5 mins later I get a notification my order is cancelled so I called and asked why? The Employee LITERALLY told me that he cancelled my order because I used a coupon and they don’t agree with DoorDash giving the promotion! Now, I have been supporting this restaurant since 2018 so to finally get to use a coupon was dope to me. So I asked him , “ so you guys pretty much want people to pay full price for your food regardless of what the third party servicer is doing. He said Yes! Now , at this point I’m done! You are selfish and will not succeed in any way . This company would rather turn down a still paying customer to be greedy. Guys this is the reason its still a SMALL BUSINESS . They have no room for Growth.1 It’s not like the promotion is ongoing it is a one time thing . This promotion could possibly drive traffic for your company to people who may be less fortunate but really wanted to try you guys out2 If you didn’t agree with the promotions they offer, then you definitely should not use their services that you clearly signed up for!

Once again, it's sad to say that I will no longer patronize this restaurant. It's black-owned. Good food but terrible customer service. Very Nonchalant and borderline rude. I've sent several people there because if the food and they've said the same thing. The guy cashier is just Nonchalant and act as if he doesn't know anything when presented with a question about their menu. Doesn't offer any suggestions or anything. Idk!

I really didn't want to write this because I haven't been here yet. But I read all reviews for new restaurant becauseI always grab for for people at work on Friday. I read that a customer was complaining that they had to wait 45 minutes for some food. The person that responded to the complaint was very unprofessional. I think I will pass on this restuarant. We spend about $350 and I try to support restaurants in my neighborhood instead of DULUTH. If you want support you have to resolve issues better

I love the food at Sublime. I have supported this restaurant for several years. It is our first preference for mainly breakfast outside of our home. The owner prepares our meals as we like every time. The consistency, professionalism, personable staff makes Sublime an asset to our Decatur community. Ordered 2 smoothies here and the guy put it in a cub holder that wasn’t firm. By the time I got to the door one of the smoothies fell out. I asked the guy to remake it since it wasn’t placed properly in the cup holder. The guy told me he wouldn’t because once he gave it to me it’s my responsibility and he no longer cared. He was very unprofessional, I asked to talk with the manager he refused to come to the front of the store. I was told he was the chief so he didn’t hv time for me. Overall it was a poor service and the four wasn’t good either.

Weird, thick red sauce for shrimp and grits. No peppers or onions like most shrimp and grits dishes. Weird flavor. Bland. Not good. Tossed it.

My wife and order this from Uber Eats to try out for the 1st time,, and was highly disappointed I spent $60 and ordered roasted chicken with mash/ "spaghetti " / oxtails/ all I can say is that nothing was to my liking,, I'm not sure if what type of cuisine it was supposed to be. but it's definitely not southern. I love supporting black business but I'm going to hold you to the same standards as I would any other, so just do better,, the chicken was cold and skin rubbery, oxtails undercooked, spaghetti was not spaghetti not even the noodles and barely any sauce to speak of just spicy season with some unfamiliar meat,,, if this is not a normal southern cuisine it should say so on Uber Eats. I'm sorry guys but this was soooo disappointing.
This establishment also operates under several other names. One of them being “Home dinner meals” the wait time is too long. Food is subpar and customer service is awful. It’s a one man show. He has to cook as well as take orders. Hire employees.

Finally got a chance to check this place out. The restaurant is located within Trinity Office Park atop of the hill and the signage in minimal so its easy to pass it up. The menu is vast. They serve everything from breakfast foods to dinner entrees and the items are reasonably priced. The breakfast items range from 3-8 dollar. A lunch sandwich will run you about 7-8 dollars and it comes with fries or a side salad. The entree selection ranges from bbq tofu to wings to grilled snapper, with prices starting at 6 bucks. I almost forgot to mention the salads and wraps ranging from 6-10 dollars. I feel like I found a hidden gem located "almost" lol walking distance from my house. The menu has soooo many items to chose from, I want to try them all. I will soon become the duchess of the restaurant :)
