We always enjoy our meal at Sushi Avenue.
Some of our favorites include: pork tonkatsu appetizer, shrimp tempura roll, tuna poke hand roll and really pretty much everything we've had is good. I prefer this location over the other one but it's not open as often & parking can be more of a challenge.
Parking: This location is on the square so, if you have not been here before, know that you may be parking a quarter or half mile away.

I was in the area and felt.like a small bite. So I decided to stop into Sushi Avenue to see how it was. Kani Roll ( plain Crab stick roll) is my benchmark dish at new sushi places. I compare price and quality. Also, I am checking to see if my order is properly prepared. I always ask for seaweed on the outside ( rice on the outside of rolls is STUPID and a western accommodation, as it means the rice is falling off the roll when you dip and only became prevalent in the 90s) . The price of ~$5/roll was right, so I ordered 2. Being asked exactly how I wanted my rolls, they still came back with rice on the outside! Then the chef and staff wanted to argue with me as to the merits of what they did vs what I asked for. Also , be sure to get the low sodium soy sauce, their regular kikoman sauce in packets tasted like straight brine.

Lunch Bento Box and Sake for less than $17. Great deal and wonderful tempura
Cute spot where we drop in for lunch for the Bento Box. ? be careful ordering, as you can only choose two options. The California rolls are not automatically included.

Server brought check while we were still eating and didn’t tell us they were closing soon. Before we finished meal we were asked to leave given no warning they were closing and told to leave. The person was rude. It was 3pm so not like it was late. Terrible service. Won’t be back.

My best friend and I make it our business to eat here at least once a year. There has not been another restaurant that could make sushi as well as Sushi Ave does in our area, so the 1.5 hour drive is well worth it! Their takoyaki, udon and unagi don are to DIE for! ♡

This place is a cute gem. Small on the inside but packs a major punch with the food and service. Every thing we ordered was delicious. The ginger dressing on the house salad tasted really fresh and I actually loved that it didn’t saturate my salad like other places serve them. It was the right ratio. Their mixed tempera was perfectly crispy without being too oily - definitely a rarity! The sushi was quite small but made sense with the price. Still very good though it definitely could’ve used more wasabi serving. Their pork ramen was the hidden gem. The broth was on thicker side which reminded me of my time in Japan. Definitely authentic and tasty. The salmon was fresh and delish. Highly recommend!!!
